Thanks monna I found Hester'sprofile but it took several goes to get the actual blog. I got a 44 year old American first, I thought that's not Hester.
The boat is lovely. You certainly won't be able to hoard anything there unless you can get a cupboard at one of your DDs. What will you do if your L&M wants to go out when you are cooking dinner. I like to pretend I can disappear into the fridge or the cooker when DS wants to go out but it is one hell of a squash. The only way for two in that kitchen is if you were both 2 dimensional.
Thank you everyone for your sympathy. I'm a little less shocked today but then I have spent most of it in bed. I was exhausted last night.
Floss you can't get much hillier than Bolton. We live on a very steep long hill. If you have only been in the town centre then you will think it is quite flat.0 -
Nursemaggie - can only second what everyone else has said. Huge virtual hugs.
Softstuff - good on you for getting things sorted ASAP. The quicker you know the sooner you can deal with it.
Going to surf a bit & find Heaters blog - I even looked at a map yesterday for the Kennet & Avon!!

Hugs Nurse Maggie.
I think I've solved the problem with the blog, the one with the yoga is snittykittysblog.blogspot.co.uk.
To find mine just don't type the word blog after snittykittys.
I assume my blog has been hacked, it's not the first time, I have altered it on my profile on here too, so hopefully it will now work for everybody.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
Thanks Slinky but my cancer has a treatment which was working fine until they stopped the tablets at the end of July, they make you quite ill. They are still experimenting with how long you have to take them.
The article is quite deceptive. The only mention a few medications but Statins has many quite serious side effects including D&V which my tablets give me. Another was aspirin which has a very serious effect on about 1/4 of us, heavy bleeding from the stomach.
There are no medications that do not have side effects. Anyone who is on metaformin will probably tell you they have site effects. I agree it is very difficult to test a drug used for something else for a different disease. Most drug testing is done buy by drug companies. The drugs they mention are all out of their licence. You can't just willy nilly give any drug to a patient who do not have the disease it was developed for, You actually have a higher risk of killing them. Drug companies are not charities, testing is very expensive, so they need to be able to recoup their development costs.
I personally think there should be a research arm to the World Health Organisation and every country should pay into it a percentage of their GDP
Most people are under the impression that cancer is one disease but it is not, there are thousands of different sorts. Even just one organ can have several different types. Mine is a rare one. It does not behave like the average stomach cancer.
Thank you for your sympathy.0 -

Nurse Maggie lifting you up here, and supporting you in your positive attitude. For a day out Ramsbottom is lovely (we call it Ramsbotham cos we think we're amusing). They have the very best hot chocolate in the chocolate shop, and a fantastic craft shop with wool shop. Also a lovely antique/junk shop that sells some real treasure!!!

Ah shazbat, Nursemaggie, wishing you strength.
Quiet progress through the day here, nothing dramatic.
I really enjoyed the latest bunch at The Real Marigold Hotel, how I would love to visit India. Unless my mobility improves it won't happen now. Programmes like this are so good at giving you some real flavour.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
