It's not fat VJsmum. It's just the muscle and skin have stretched with gravity, your too young to have it.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend. We were very young then.....

When does it start to appear?

.My nephew loved stroking his gran's bingo wings. He said he loved it that she had such soft skin. Bless.

I am busy trying to tighten the muscle there as I lose weight. Am only (only!) 53 but am wondering if I can avoid the sag for a few more years!? DH, fit with reasonable muscles, is already getting saggy knees. Doh. We have our health so not complaining but it is, as Ivyleaf says, a bit frightening to look at yourself and see your parent!
I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.

I have a system for dealing with this. I take my glasses off before I look in mirrors and I never go sleeveless. ;) Always wear short sleeves lol

Totally agree Mar, only my short sleeves are having to get much longer to achieve the desired cover-up.

What I find amazing is the number of (at least) middle-aged women with less than perfect figures who insist on having and flaunting tattoos. They look awful to begin with so heaven knows how they will be in their 70's and 80's!

  • Bit of a change of subject, but I have a new slow cooker and I'm loving it!
My old one was too heavy for me, but this new one has a metal internal bit which you can use on the stove to brown, bring to the boil etc and then put the whole thing in the slow cooker to cook on.
First time using it today, so fingers crossed my chilli turns out well.

Agree with you all about covering up - I always wear sleeves of some sort now.

That sounds brilliant, WCS! i like my slow cooker, but it has a ceramic inner pot. Cooks nicely though :)

As to sleeves, I had been getting my teeshirts from CC (formerly Country Casuals) for the last few yearsr, as they were very cheap for the quality when there was a Sale on AND they had sleeves to just above the elbow.
Sadly the company has gone out of business, but their clothes were very overpriced when not on Sale, so probably not surprising.

Funny you should mention that Ivyleaf - I used to buy in CC when they were on sale because of the lovely quality but I ordered 3 tops a few years ago online - when they arrived I was very disappointed as the quality was nowhere near the same. All three have been CS'd but previous ones are still being worn. Find M&Co nice quality, but again tend to buy on sale!
