  • Mar if she insists on taking you off your meds, remember to ask her about emergency treatment, training the RV in administering emergency hydrocortisone and logging your health with emergency services and the NCARDRS. Not giving health advice here, just general management suggestions:-)
I don't think there is any other treatment is there? and unless you have a rampant infection or TB I didn't think there was much else they could do???
    Never ending isn't it???

WCS is right as far as I'm aware - it's lifetime steroid replacement. So ask her to provide you with copies of the research that supports her suggestion for treatment, and NICE guidance on treatment (which is here if you want to have a look at it).

There are some ideas about diet/exercise/lifestyle changes but those tend not to be coming from mainstream medical sources. If there is research going on in those areas great, and if there are trials going on that you are suitable, then that might be something to consider. But you want to know the evidence-based research that supports her recommendations. If you don't like them, you need to push for a second opinion.

Right, that's you sorted Mar. You take with you, your statement ready for her to sign making her fully responsible for the results of changing your treatment, a list of questions covering the subjects WCS suggests, a smartphone to record your conversation, and the RV to give you moral support. Closely followed by elona and fairyP with rolling pins and a bucket of water and me clanking along in the rear clad in full armour and a bag full of poison arrows.

    Good luck!

I seem to remember the flyladies have an elephant that they might be able to lend you to transport elona, fpk and monna. Although you might need Hester and her whips to keep it moving...

Only here. Only on here would I read what I have just logged on to read. A smashing bunch of wifies collectively keeping heifers at bay. Given my penchant for Highland Heifers I am struggling to share the vision but you do make me laugh.

Er, Monna? Your posts have shortened since the laptop arrival... Please sort the situation! ;)

Fpk. I hope not too many blood vessels pumped as your wrote your email. My 'nice as I possibly can' emails seem to not be any better than my 'very cross' emails.

Autumn is here I agree. As I was dragging my sorry bottom up the hill from the school drop off I noted the eerieness of the mist settling on the cobwebs. The sun is shining now though but chilly this morning.

Unfortunately nothing OS doing here. In fact nothing doing here. I am on good behaviour and sitting still. I have had to have the biscuit barrel removed though.

Only just back and I find you've all gone more loony in my absence! Well, if Mardatha shows up with a posse including monnagran armed and armoured amd an elephant, I'd think the last thing they'd do would be give her more steroids! I like the advice you've been given, particularly Greenbees suggestion of askingfor the research supporting her decision.

Had a wonderful holiday. It might have been 2 days, but it was action packed. Great show from Henry Rollins, got to see friends and their new baby, had a few delightful meals out, nice hotel. I'd rate it 5/5 overall. Just the ticket. Not cheap mind, so it'll be gruel for a week now!

Hester, very glad they've got your back and that you've been vindicated as regards the machine choice too.

You are all such a lovely lot! Getting Hester armed and ready :T and now closing ranks for Mardatha! :j
I was going to offer my support as pirate, armed with hook and cutlass but I'm certainly outclassed (gunned?) by Monna :D

Glad to see Softstuff had a nice break, Fuddle is taking it easy and excellent advice from Westcoastscot and Greenbee

Nothing exciting to add - off to make DH a cuppa and sort the washing.
    Have a good day all
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
  • :rotfl::rotfl: I needed that laughter this morning.

Hopefully you'll feel the full force of our backing Mar!

Greenbee I'm glad the police are taking you seriously.

WCS I hope YOUR ex behaves himself!

Fuddle:AGlad to hear you're behaving yourself!

My blood pressure was certainly...shall we save elevated?...this morning. I did get a very prompt reply saying they were planning to contact me today and are hoping to get the work out to me tomorrow (at least I know I can get on with things today). They did clarify that this won't be affecting the long term outcomes from my point of view and that I could have a few days' extension if needed. I'm somewhat mollified by this. It is probably to be expected, people in my profession aren't known for noticing (much less keeping!) deadlines and I imagine for this company it is usually the other way around with them e-mailing people like me to find out where their work is. They're probably amazed I even noticed :rotfl:.
  • Fairy I haven't spoken to him for about 10 years (since the kids grew up) and mostly am over the urge to run him down in the street :) every now and then he upsets the one son who's still speaking to him and the urge comes back with a vengeance!!!
Am too pretty for prison though :rotfl:
