Oh my????? Hairdryers for wrinkles, never heard of that one. I saw Raquel Welsh on Piers.. She said her secret was bag balm, that's horrid stuff they put on cows udders. She really is a liar, she has had multiple face lifts. My secret is filling the lines with nanoblur. This stuff really stops my lippy from bleeding. Now, I am going to 59 in September, the hot flushes have been going for 9 years now. When do they stop? It is is the night sweats, that are the worse. I was on HRT, stopped that for sensible reasons. Tried all the herbal stuff, waste of money. A bag of frozen peas, placed in the middle of my back help. That is not very practical in the early hours.

Well mine stopped quite soon but then I gave birth to DS. I'm not going to recommend a menopause baby but they never came back.

Just got back from having a CT scan. Train drivers strike effecting trains was an hour and a hlg late. After scan I went round the charity shops near the hospital, nice area good stuff. U got a large pale blue handbag/shopping bag you know those really big ones, useful for days like today. Got three lots of knitting yarn, another nice planter, two nice big ladles, been looking for some for some time we used the one we had to pour out the paint for the 15 litre tin. Better than risking pouring out too much and having it all over the floor.

Don't know why but ladles are shrunk considerably over the last few years. I do like a ladles when dishing up soup or a stew. I also got a nice top cream with pale pink and a deeper pink roses all over it, very pretty. Got a feeling DD will be after it when I visit. Oh and an American cookies cook book. Now I am going to need some measuring cups.

Apart from needing some flour I have all the ingredients for most of the cookies. It also has brownies and a couple of other tray bakes. I will get busy when it cools down a bit.

It's been quite a nice day considering I seem to have lost my cagoule. It usually rains if I don't take a mac.

Went in M & S when I got back into Manchester, they had lots of nice trousers and tops at only £4.99 and £5.99. They don't usually go down to that price. Everything I liked was either size 8 or extra long or the trouser legs were very wide and I would have got both my legs in twice for both legs. Just picture me in trousers three foot longer than my legs with enough materiel in each leg to make me a dress.

Oh nursemaggie, I am a size 8-10, must get to M&S. I usually need extra long too. Trouble with me is, I have long legs, but a small torso. Sales have started, managed to get a bikini top, for a bottom I bought last year. Never easy for me. size 8 bottom, size 12 top, it's my 36B.
I am sleeping with the peas tonight.

Thank you Floss. I have a spare set of measuring spoons if you would like them. Will post later Ds has just come in from work.

Tips I'm 10 at the bottom and 14 or 16 at the top. I hope your M & S has lots of clothes left in the sale too. I'm only 4ft 9in so sometimes have to shorten short lengths.

You make me jealous with talk of reductions like that NurseMaggie. Especially in longer lengths. Hope the CT is good news.

Yesterday my contractor came for an hour, left mumbling something when the plumber came and didn't come back. Think he's coming today. Meanwhile the plan he had for the bathroom isn't going to work according to the plumber, so we might have to get in the air conditioning people to move a unit, the pest control people to redo outside. ... it's like swallowing the spider to catch the fly. I'm fortunate to have such a lovely plumber.

Plus sides today are: my documents arrived at their destination in Bulgaria, my new little half bathroom looks delightful so far and my new toilet is comfortable and flushes well.

Sounds more like Flanders & Swan "T'was on a Monday Morning the Gas Man Came to Call". You're a bit too young to remember that Softstuff. Needless to say the last line is the same as the first. They had all the other tradesmen out in between and each one made a job for the next one. You may find it online. You can put up your Christmas decorations when they finish. It can't be long saw my first banner on a Hotel in Manchester today "Now Booking for Christmas." Must be time to book the office party.

Glad your paperwork has turned up after spending so much money on it. I told you, you were getting there, soon be putting your feet up.
