Hi gang , not been on for a while as I've had a few days of feeling like I'm battle syrup and a woo lie brain.

Hugs to anyone how needs them .
Happy birthday to the birthday people.

I've just taken a bag of frozen YS (10p) noodles from the freezer for my tea.. As still feel very low in energy . Let's hope it works

    boultdj, Happy Birthday.
Lillibet, how dare you cast aspersions at me, I may be weird but even I don't have sex toys that play Humpty Dumpty, lol.
I also need a lie down Monna, DD1 & I both went to DD2's and we've gutted her garden, 3 tip runs, 2 hippo bags and a visit from the scrap man and the children now have a garden they can play in for the holidays.
DD1 and I will do one day a week at DD2's, DD1 is also having DD2's three oldest children to stay once a week and I will have the toddler at mine, to give DD2 some respite.
I left DD's at 4 then went to collect the keys from my colleague who's cats' fishes and garden I'm taking care of for 3 weeks.
At 6 I took hubby up some supper and then at 9 or 10 I'll go back and collect him.
We have a visitor next Saturday, he's moved to Cornwall but his mother is in a care home the other side of town, she is being moved to one just round the corner to me, no doubt I will be asked to visit to keep an eye on things. But I can't commit to more than once a month. Oh and then I put the recycling out, a wheely bin 2 boxes and a bag, all fairly full.
    Chin up, Titus out.

We had 19p Sausages. Would not have paid the full price for them £3  not worth that price DS described the flavour as weak, but not complaining for 19p.

I'm not too technical but I think some of the chromebooks are good, DD and DS2 have them. Much smaller and lighter than a laptop and you can get them for under £200, in fact Argoos have one at £130.

    Evening all,having a rubbish time.
My dear Mum died last week she had been quite poorly for a while and developed a chest infection.I managed to nurse her at home with the help of carers and very good friends, providing moral support and the occasional hoik up the bed. My brother is on holiday abroad with most of his family-yes he does know ,but not necessary to come back, they had all seen Mum in the last week or so.
Funeral arrangements all sorted, registrar appointment in the morning, then I shall tackle the bank with the death certificate and the will and my passport-wish me luck with that one!
All medical equipment been sent back, oxygen being collected tomorrow.
Carpets being professionally cleaned next week .House cleaned and all beds made up ready for family arriving for the funeral. Meals planned and food in the freezer.
    Flowers ordered.Music sorted.Service leaflets approved.
Can't think of anything else that needs doing, apart from the eulogy ,which is in my head but won't come out yet.
Was downgraded by male friend from 'girl friend'(I am a bit old to be a girl but sounds better than retired widow)to occasional somebody to have coffee with-doh. Really like him as well-tho as my youngest said 'his loss'.
Feeling calm ,helped by yoga and a session of Shiatsu, occ whisky and bag of Malteasers !!!
Today would have been late DH 68th birthday-lovely man,we were married for nearly 42 years.
    Night all
    mrss

I'm interested in your experiences with refurbished laptops because that's what I am looking for. I also want Windows 7.
There's a big selection on Amazon where I got mine (£95 incl delivery). It was only ever meant to be for temporary use while my new home was renovated. But I'm a convert and the desk top is still languishing in the spare bedroom where it was dumped when I moved in. Keeping it as a back up. The laptop is probably heavier than most on the market today but it's not for use outside the home..

    Happy belated birthday Boultdj.

Mila, I've nasal rinsed once and once was enough! Don't envy anyone that task.

As for laptops, we like windows 10 here, once you get used to it, we find it better. hubby is on his second dell for work. His boss buys all the staff dell laptops, though they occasionally have issues like any other, the customer service is good and you cant beat the price for the specs they need.

TandT, don't worry about misreading anything, I've been here years but have a shocking memory so often forget who did what, but keep trying anyway!

MrsSnowy, sending hugs for this difficult time, and more virtual whisky.

I'm not sure my house will even recover from this present bout of work. You can write in the builders dust even in the room most distant from the work. So far the study and spare bed are at decorating stage, in the next 3 weeks, the bathroom and other toilet will also be there. That'll mean we're getting there. I think. :rotfl:
