I don't know if I can do links but it is Miss Thriftys blog which I found through FrugalQueens link.http://www.miss-thrifty.co.uk/2016/07/01/thrifty-chocolate-orange-cake/

You lot are wonderful! I don't think I will bother googling in future, I will just spell out all my problems here and wait for you to come up with the answer.

I hadn't remembered it all properly. Esther, you have won first prize. Treat yourself to a Mars Bar. That is just the one I saw.
I will make it tomorrow and you can all drop in for coffee and try a piece.

Thanks bigjenny and tired trophy for making the effort. I do appreciate it.

Camelot, I'm not sure about orange and basil, it seems a strange combination.

Now all I need is for someone to explain how to remove the calories from a fried cheese sandwich.
    Cordon bleu I am not.

If id seen that cake sooner I'd have had a use for the jar of kumquat marmalade we were given (I usually like marmalade, but not this one).

Mila, crumpets for me are brekkie, we had them a few days ago, toasted with honey. Scones meanwhile for us are a bit like cake, good for snacks or dessert. We don't have an equivalent of "biscuits and gravy", though I have made biscuits and gravy and it is delicious. I want to travel some of America for food, but need to lose weight first :rotfl: And I am very stressed aboutthose documents, I'm just trying not to panic.

I don't know how to post photos either unless it's from a website.
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

now the fence: I painted my garden shed with murals on each side. A mediteranian view on one side, and a victorian garden with urns on the door. I also painted murals on the walls at the old Dover hospital, when I lived there. Would you like me to paint the fence? Any ideas on what you all may like? I know it's only vitual, but just picture it in your minds.
Oh, phone is ringing again, so glad I have a half degree in Psychology.

I make a lemon polenta cake which uses ground almonds - I,ll hunt out the recipe - still in bed at the mo :rotfl: easily googleable though

Edit - here,s a link to the recipe I use - just make sure the cake is cool before adding the syrup or it sinks to the bottom

    Morning everyone,
its very wet here today so lots to do indoors to keep me busy.
I want to start going through wardrobes and drawers to get rid of clothes (that i might fit into later)
I am now 60 so I do not think I will fit into them later. lol
I am going to have to be very strict with myself as I know what I am like.
I will stat in the spare room as there is 2 sets of drawers plus wardrobe in there.
    Will be back later
