Ah Nursemaggie, that's sad news. As others have said, he should get a glowing reference, maybe they will take him on again when they get a bit busier.
A coffee would suit me fine burtha, it has been a really wet and miserable day here. I had to put the living room lamp on about 5pm as it was so dark!0 -
Finished my shift at 7 .... but going back for 9 30 , for the last 2 hrs . So g&t and 1 coffee , so far .... do you want latte, caramel latte, mocka, black, white , hot chocolate, etc ....

I'm so sorry Nursemaggie (that's a very edited version of the sailors language I used out loud when I saw your post). I feel like he's been taken advantage of there, not that he had any choice mind.
Hoping that as that door closes, another better one opens for him xxSoftstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Well, everyone seems to be tucked up in bed and snoring. There's usually someone wandering around in the dark and doesn't Hester usually get up and start work at about this time?
I wonder if Tips has solved the mystery of the tapping sound yet? Apart from death watch beetle I have no suggestions.
Here I have a mysterious ringing sound, like a sharp 'ting' of someone striking a triangle.
I thought it might be one of my electronic devices, but it is definitely not my tablet because it has just happened again and I am holding the accursed tablet. My mobile phone is lurking in the bottom of a drawer somewhere so I don't think it is that. It comes from the corner by the door and is not regular, just occasional and makes me jump.
I'm wittering on about nothing so in the absence of any company and having nothing much to say I think I'll push off.

Ohh, Monna, I'm up and feeling a bit better after a horrible headachy sinus infection day. Two naps and a dreadful antibiotic nasal wash that I detest using. Only a few more days of that.
I've been doing so well on my diet but getting sick has caused me to want to drop that and eat comfort food. I've succumbed to one garlic Parmesan roll.
It took care of my 'oh poor me I'm sick' need to dip back into white carbs. I'm a whiner.Overprepare, then go with the flow.

That's a real shame nursemaggie, he's worked so hard. The experience, and his clear commitment to doing a good job should help him find his next job, at least I hope so.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0

Nursemaggie, I'm so sorry to hear about DS, I hope something else comes along soon.
Monna, I had a lie in, I'm girding my loins ready to look after my 2 year old DGD & DGS for the day, hubby will help until he goes to work at lunch time for a rest!
I was once woken by a loud buzzing noise and started to search for my vibrator, hubby was quite insulted as he thought I was going to use it and he felt he'd already provided a sterling service that night. Turns out it was a neighbour who works unsociable hours, he had his van engine running to defrost the windscreen.
Monna could your noise be from one of DGD's toys? We have a popup toy that plays a very energetic and loud version of Humpty Dumpty at random moments.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
Nearly decorated the kitchen with my tea there HH!
I have nothing to add after that.0 -
Sorry about your lad's job Nursemaggie, fingers crossed he soon gets a better one.
Hester I also nearly got tea all over the 'putor, and I'v been thinking of you this weekend, due to the fact it looks like the Midlands chaptors of the hell angles have had a get to gether at a local camping ground, there has been some lovely bikes and a lot of leather, the amount of leather is what set me off thinking of you, as in Hester would have a field day with all that leather, think what she could make with it.
And I better get off, furry owner is telling, birthday or not 'I want feeding'.£71.93/ £180.000 -
Hester, the laughing set off the coughing and I was relieved we currently have a toilet (bathroom is being ripped oit)Softstuff- Officially better than 0070
