Welcome back0 -
Welcome back CC I've wondered how you were .
Hello to Pineapple .
Nurse Maggie I am glad you and son are ok . You sound like me carrying stupidly heavy shopping home , but worth it for the price .
I am off to see if the new spy series is worth watching . Had a lovely sit in the garden earlier but the humidity is building and I think many of us will struggle to sleep tonight .
Take care

I think they both frequently look unwashed, which does not appeal but to each her own!
My bag is all finished and very smart looking. The bed linens are changed, washing done, dried, folded and sorted ready for putting away...but I didn't do the floors. Just as well, OH cut the grass and then someone (I'm blaming the cat) tracked the clippings in. Actually I decided to be sensible and put it off as OH and his father are doing a swap tomorrow. His dad needs things clearing in their loft and we have things that need taking to the tip, a task much aided by the use of a car..so OH will help with the loft clear and FIL will do the driving. As a result, there is a bunch of stuff piled up and the various places it has been hiding since we sorted it are all now more accessible so I can technically do a BETTER vac.
OH has made his first from scratch cake tonight from my very basic recipe. I'm looking forward to a slice with my peppermint tea tonight. Although he cooks, the only thing close to baking that he makes is pizza crust (I keep telling him that the process is pretty much the same for bread) so it is fabulous to have a second baker in the house.
Nursemaggie It has been a lovely day, hasn't it?0 -
Hi Cornishchick! I saw you on another thread and wondered if you were back. It is nice to see you!0

Hi Cornishchick, hope you're doing well :j
As regards the delightful Sean Bean FairyPrincess, unwashed is part of the charmas is craggy Mardatha. And Pollyanna, I can build my own stuff and don't require him to talk much... well, not exactly enough for a conversation :rotfl:
Pineapple, the setter had it right, if you look at the cook adoringly you're better fed.
Furrybeastoz, you can have Nimoy as Spock... and that one has me a bit baffled, er... live long and prosper.
Nursemaggie, you shouldn't be even trying to heft that much weight, be careful. I always get the 15kg bags when they go halfprice here, less than 50p a kilo for me.
Love the devious dinner Monnagran, talk about eating his words....Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Only 10kg bags I could only lift about a foot not enough to get it into a trolley or my shopping trolley. If they still have them tomorrow will get DS to bring one back. Mr M is just round the corner and up a flight of steps.
The biggest bags are 26kg. I think they have sold all of them.0 -

26kg is a two man lift, I'm amazed they continue to stock it, I'd doubt most people shop as a duo and they shouldn't expect staff to shift them either. Then again, your DS is a prime example of people having to move great weights at work!
We now have a plumber and a builder here... and we're both sick on the sofa in pjs, as 2 back rooms and the toilet are ripped apart. Sometimes my life seems a bit like a french farce.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
My sympathies Softstuff re (trying to) live in a house whilst its being renovated:eek:
Been there. Done that. Never again - bar a lottery win.
Though - come to think of it - if I had a lottery win (ie I'd be house-hunting again) I'd have enough dosh to pay for somewhere else to live whilst the new house got gutted.0
