Well that was " interesting " went to log out after my last post yesterday and spent all evening trying to get an internet connection . I got online a short time ago so fingers crossed .
Hester I am sorry you are starting to feel sadness at the thought of leaving your home . As Monna says the memories will go with you and you have so many of those .
I don't get the Sean Bean thing so no competition from me .
I like men who can build useful stuff from bits and bobs and hold interesting conversations .
I hope you feel better now Softstuff . I tried the fancy lavender once but it was never meant for Northern England growing . My lavender which has been grown from the cuttings of my original over the years is " Folgate " and "Twickle Purple tough as old boots and smells wonderful .
FPK I shall keep an eye out for suitable viewing . There is so little on tv that I tend to keep watch for something to justify the tv licence .
Hope Nurse Maggie and son are well
Hugs to all - Hope to be back later - internet permitting .

Had to laugh at the men's reactions to food.
My ex was once having one of his long, long moans about the fact that I wouldn't force the children to eat food that they absolutely hated. They were not particularly picky children and I got mad.
Being a horribly devious wife I said nothing at the time but the next day the meal was lamb, runner beans, roast onions and rice followed by ginger sponge and rice pudding. Every single thing was a food he loathed. I don't think he spoke to me again for about 3 weeks. Fine by me.
It's a gorgeous day today, warm but with a slight breeze. However, I have seen the forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday. 30+ degrees???
Guess what I will be doing.
Lying in the shade sipping cooling drinks?
Spending a couple of days in a hot, stuffy kitchen cooking for 50+ people?
Three guesses.

We're fine thankyou pollyanna. Went to get some basmati rice at £7 for 10kg works out about half the price of buying it 1kg at a time. I could not pick it up. Needless to say DS has today off and was still in bed when I went to Mr M.
We actually have sun today, I'm back in summer clothes and been out without a coat for the first time since May.0 -
I've just had a look at Sean Bean and he's too craggy looking.
Peter has a cute wee smile!0 -
I thought Sean Bean was far more attractive as Richard Sharpe than in modern roles with short hair
It's interesting, too, how differently actors come across on TV compared to when they're on stage. I once went to one of the London theatres to see Oliver!. Bill Sykes was played by someone I'd seen on TV (he was in EastEnders for a while); I'd always thought of him as quite good-looking, but that was all.
On stage he was absolutely electrifying and I suddenly understood why Nancy was so besotted! He left the better-known actor who was playing Fagin, in the shade.0 -
Mar, I like my men craggy, lol.Chin up, Titus out.0

Definitely competition here for Sean Bean as Sharpe, or Nimoy as Spock (sorry), but ideally the older Connery as anything (and preferably unclad)Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0

You can read closed threads, you just can't add to them.
Anyhow - water under the bridge hopefully.0 -
My ex husband complained once about waiting for his dinner. I'd just got home from work, he'd been sat on his rear all day. I served him a tin of beans on a tray with a fork and tin opener. On another occasion I was so angry at him I didn't just throw a knife at him, I threw the entire cutlery drawer. I'm considerably less volatile now.
By our feet and positively drooling at the hope someone might drop something was a very alert red setter.
Can you guess the rest.....? :rotfl:0 -
