Thanks Shanks and Monnagran, all is pretty well now, but I wouldn't shower if I was alone in the house IYSWIM. I find I do better leaning into it and avoiding medication.

Having worked in a charity shop, it was a battle between the lower income volunteers and the higher income volunteers and management as to what to price things.

What a lovely time you had Hester, makes me smile just hearing about it. You deserve it and much more.

Busy times here, I'm taking my DGD's 5 & 8 to Smiggle today I'm treating them to some smelly pencils each, a little treat for them as it's half term. I'm taking their brother out tomorrow as a 12th birthday treat and having 2 more DGC 10 & 11 to stay Saturday night.
I have 2 more boxes full for the charity shop and got some more empty boxes from the butchers this morning. I'm running out of charity shops to visit, they are beginning to bar the doors when they see me coming!
I'm wondering if it is worth trying to sell my fabric and yarn stash, probably not, I will probably list it on my blog for postage only, I will spend some time sorting it out today.
    Chin up, Titus out.

OK Hester: It's just you and me Chuck. Obviously everyone else is nursing their sunstroke or, if you live round here, rust.

I don't know how you keep up the pace with the DGC. I have been in sole charge of both mine here today. The 3 year old diva and the 14 year old autistic angel. The high spot of the day was a half mile walk to the Co-op only to find that Id left my purse on the kitchen counter, - its the dementia setting in. So a half mile walk back. Pick up purse collect push chair (divas legs have developed sudden crippling pains), walk half mile back to shop, do shopping, walk half mile...........

Cooked hot dog lunch. That's hot-dog lunch not lunch for a hot dog you understand. Spent afternoon being a witch, a unicorn (don't ask), an ugly princess (type casting), a little pig and a dirty cousin (don't know how she crept in). Cooked dinner ready for DS and DIL when they returned from work.

Am now sitting in a state of complete collapse. Hester. I don't know how you do it.

I know what you mean about charity shops. Last year it was a struggle for me to get through the doors before thet were slammed shut and the CLOSED noticed displayed.

Please don't show me your fabric stash. PLEASE DON'T SHOW ME YOUR FABRIC STASH. I am unbelievably weak willed. I live in one room. PLEASE DON'T.

Hello all I hope everyone is well .
Monna and Hester whatever drives you on please bottle and sell it now . I am still sniggering at Hesters blog pictures from the Crick event .
I think we need to form a not viewing Hesters stash support group . I have fabric and yarn way beyond my life expectancy . I can resist yarn but don't show me fabric !
Not a great tv fan but am sort of watching a repeat of Phil Spencers Spring Clean .
It actually makes my house look fairly tidy . It seems to be one of those programmes where if you throw a few grand and some professional declutter peeps at it all is solved . I am only staying with it because one of my favourite upcyclers is going to be making storage solutions out of the existing wood furniture .
We have had days of unusually hot , humid weather here and now I would welcome some rain , spent too many hours watering the plants each day .
Well off to make a brew , take care all and I hope you get the weather you want ,
    polly

Monna & Shanks, I only have some energy cos it's half term, so I'm not at work.

It took 3 attempts to get into town today, one road is still closed after a shooting at the weekend, one was blocked by an ambulance and police car, third route was clear fortunately.

My DGD's were an absolute delight today, polite, grateful and hysterically funny, I managed to fall upstairs in the car park twice as I was wearing my boating shoes and the soles are very thick. We couldn't go in the lift as the 5 year old is scared of alligators and can't tell the difference between alligator and elevator!

I dropped the girls home with their Smiggle haul, collected my L&M, came home took in a supermarket delivery, cooked tea and blitzed the bathroom, it is now in 'ready to sell' mode. I also fitted in some Hestering as hubby was feeling frisky tonight.

The weather here is damp, about as damp as the Thames, in fact I didn't go to my writers circle last night, I'm not a strong swimmer and decided I'd be safer at home.

Tomorrow it's back into town, this time with DGS so he can choose his birthday present.

I will be listing some more books on my blog soon as they didn't sell on ebay, when I list the fabric on my blog I will mark it clearly FABRIC GIVEAWAY, so you can all avoid looking,

I'm amazed at some of the things I can't give away, no one wants my slow cooker, or my stainless steel steamer, it's such a shame, they have so much use left in them but they will be thrown away.

Pollyanna, I'm glad you like my pics, we had a great time, I'm sure some of the stallholders wondered why I was photographing rope & chains, lol.

You needn't assume that just because I'm on the sunshine coast that it's sunny here, cos it ain't. It's been raining pretty solidly for a bit now. Probably because our landscape gardener was due to come round and do the retaining wall. I'd even put off my friend a couple of weeks from doing the bathroom. So there we are.

I'd love a slow cooker Hester, but by the time we got it here and put an adapter on it I coild buy one new (and likely put meat in it). It does mean though, knowing how bad postage is, that I can look at your fabric stash without a hint of risk that I get it here! I'm amazed that you had the energy for a Hestering, after having so much fun withthe grandkids.

I've been preoccupied with my biological fathers estate... needless to say, when it involves 3 countries, his poor widow that I've never met and for whom English is not a first language and a part of his family in England that hasn't been on good terms with me for nearly 20 years, it was bound to be a schmozzle. I just underestimated how much of one it could be.
