The Garden Fence - help and support in tough times

Wrong kind of garden thread pet, this is a garden fence that was put up for leaning on and chatting over about the little things in life not actually gardening as such. We even have virtual cake and biscuits to go with out virtual tea and coffee while we're here so we can give lots of recipes but the only kind of peas we know about are the edible ones, not the shingle ones!!!

It's that time again, staff reviews, mine is on Thursday, my self and a colleague are having our reviews alone, other staff are having theirs in groups.

I hear you Ivyleaf. Oh, gosh yes, tablets are such fun. First there is the joy of painfully tapping out a long post one letter at a time. Then you read it back and find out that it makes no sense at all. Finally you go through it all again cancelling, deleting and correcting spelling, wondering what on earth otherwise is when you originally wrote something like 80 three ish. Try it tablet owners.You will get close to the end and may even be breathing a sigh of relief before your dearly beloved grand daughter comes along, leans on it and wipes the lot. Yes. That has just happened and there will be a short pause while I lash her to the rocking chair in front of CBeebies.

Hester: What ever can happen to you next? Everything will be crossed for you on Thursday. What a worry. Shall I do the lottery, win and all our troubles will be over? Sadly, with my sort of luck we will all be on the streets by next week.

Thanks, hubby and I have come to a decision, there is way too much carp being thrown at us at work.
I've started emptying the house, we are going to downsize next year into a 1 bed flat.
We are both tired of the constant struggle.
Anyone know how to get a quart into a pint pot?

Hester, can I suggest taking on Monna and Nursemaggie as spatial consultants?!

Seriously, get your names on the nearest allotment list if you think you may be sans-garden, you will miss the produce and your L&M will miss the soil in his fingernails.
