I'm having a large wall knocked out today. Subsequently our house will be a bit more open plan. I wonder if we'll get a liking for this and remove more walls. It'd be less for me to paint :D

I love the "chin up, ti*ts out " mantra, it really makes me laugh :rotfl:

Does that count as my "revelation for the day" moment softstuff? That being - "Mygawd there's a name for it - and it's apparently commonplace/a lot of people have it. OH!".:rotfl:

I've hereby adopted the "chin up, tits out" mantra - thanks Monna.

Oh, my goodness! Our local refuse collectors aren't really armed to the teeth. The IOW may be pretty rebellious but we truly don't send out Council employees with bulging holsters. BINMEN, tablet, BINMEN.

Lol, you haven't lived until you have seen a man dressed in nothing but leather chaps!!

I find most men with bulging holsters are just keeping their lunch warm!!

And on the subject of predictive text, when I send a text to my kids and sign it Mum, it gets changed to Nun, singularly inappropriate, don't you think?

Camelot We enjoy This Farming Life too :) Last one tonight unfortunately, and it looks as if it's more or less a recap.

Today we have an unexpected delight; our lovely niece and her fiance are visiting London (they got engaged yesterday over tea at the Ritz  ) with their baby daughter, and they are coming to DD2's house this afternoon so we will take DD1 to see them :j

Lovely day today, and much less windy, thank goodness.

Thanks for pointing that out lillibet. The brooding presence of Hester that usually sits on my shoulder while I am writing, alerting me to the possibility of any double entendre, had obviously taken itself off momentarily.

Glad that the "Chin up" quote is proving encouraging. My tablet bears complete responsibility for the "Titus out" bit.

The family returned home last night so the house is now heaving with Easter eggs, chocolate rabbits, dressing-up clothes, including some high heeled sparkly shoes that can only be worn if you are clinging desperately to your grandmother's hands. There are bubble machines, numerous Minion accessories, frisbees, Tec, Tec.
All this resulting from some vouchers given for birthdays and Christmas for the famous toy store that belongs to all of us and which can only be redeemed when the perilous journey to the mainland is attempted.
Today promises a visit it to a DIY emporium to buy paint for the old fishing boat that has spent the winter propped up against the garage. There is a pitched battle going on about the colour. DGS favours red, DVD is adamant it should be 'lellow'. My preference for a tasteful turquoise is being very properly ignored.

    Goodbye from me and tablet.

First off all naughty step for Hester who appears to be corrupting our saintly Monna and dragging the rest of us along . I was taught by nuns and I don't recall a Hester , think you misread the job description love
Have a lovely day Ivyleaf .
I too will miss this farming life . It has been a lovely way to pass an hour . I don't fancy the idea of the " blacking " though - cat meat !
I will never be able to look at topside in the same way again .
Monna The boat has made me think , could you paddle away and reinvent yourself ? Sell the story and live happily ever after . Well we know where to come if the shtf - lets face it Mar is never going to finish knitting that ark .
Lots to do today mainly the laundry mountain and ironing .
Might see you later , have a good day all .

I once knew a guy with leather chaps and a bulging holster, he was also gay .....not sure if this means I've lived or not!

We are minus a wall and pkus rather a lot of dust. Rectification work continues tomorrow.
