Thinking of you and sending love Kittie xx
Have been ordering bits for the loo. Hard to order what you want from random people on the Internet when you have no idea what the parts are called. "I need 1 dooberry and 2 whatnots please". Learning as I go.
Can't wait until I actually have a room finished to show you. Though the way we're going, the garden might be finished long before the interior.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -

When I was b12 deficient and losing my words, I learned many words for things and people I didn't know the name of, some of them stuck.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
I had a lot of those moments Softstuff, ended up taking photos of things to show trades people. I'm sure the counter staff in one of the trade shops I frequented used to hide when he saw me coming in!
Back to the charity bags - I'm glad I'm not the only one who uses them for bin bags, I've tried leaving the empty ones out but no-one ever collects them. I have seen a van going past on collection day but it whizzes past so quickly I'm surprised the driver sees anything. I'll stick to the charity shop of my choice.0 -
I keep charity bags for rubbish as they never collect the unused ones and 90pct are those that promise to donate a percentage to the charity. I'm with you all about donating directly to the charity of your choice. I also use the bags turned inside out to take stuff to the CS.
Softstuff - I have always hated it when DH is in the middle of a job and needs me to go and get a whotsit & the man in the shop says do you want a left, right or reverse one or will a thingummy do?? So I take what I think - its wrong and the man in the shop changes it for what he calls an oojamaflip aaaaaaargh!!!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -

For future information your NHS number is on your birth certificate except for those few of us who were born before the NHS. Worth making a note of in case you need it.
Sorry Nursemaggie, it's not on a full birth certificate from 1964.

Sorry floss We were looking for DS NHS number when he found his birth certificate and noticed it on the top. I don't know when they started putting it on there but I seem to remember my other two had theirs on and they were born in 1972 and 1975. I knew I could not have it on mine as I was born before the NHS. I just thought it was worth knowing.0
