ELONA go for something you'll be comfortable in, go for a style you know will suit your shape and go for a colour you know suits your colouring and skin tone. I too hate clothes shopping with a passion and dreaded shopping for a 'posh' outfit when DD2 got married and was in a twiz until she said to me ' Ma, for heavens sake go and buy something you like, that you'll wear again and don't worry about what anyone else thinks, it's a wedding and it's a party and it's going to be the best fun we've ever had so be comfortable, no one will notice what you're wearing' so I got a pair of creamy loose trousers, a creamy floaty top with butterflies on it and a smart black jacket and you know what? I felt grand, I've got a nice outfit to wear again, no one else was dressed up to the nines and she was right, it WAS the best party I've ever been to. Your biggest priority love is to ENJOY the day, the clothes don't really matter, loving Mr. ELONA and having a really lovely time does!!!0

Still 4C and horrible grey raw days up here. Wish spring would hurry up.0

Mrs L - working on the boat again today and a pair of swans flew over and landed on the pond - they've been around the club since last year & had 1 chick. I'm hoping they may decide to nest on the little island in the pond. I found a crust of bread to give them & they would have taken it from my hand but the beaks looked a bit fearsome!!
I keep walking round the garden to see what else is emerging - peonies just poking through & buds on my potted apricot so fingers crossedSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
I feel for you mar in those temps , its been 12 here today , although the morning looked pretty grim it turned out nice....
Birds are singing away and nest building happily.....
How are you getting on with the sea kelp ?...Im still taking it and doing very well.......In always tired at this time of a night and very often go to bed around 8.30 , but I do get up early and dont normally sit all day , so I think that entitles me to early nights to bed........SheilaMy motto is " one life live it ".....:)0 -
I understand Mar and sympathise. It is a little warmer here but there are no signs of spring as we do not have gardens. I never see or hear birds, why should they come here when there are parks and big gardens near by.
I shall have to go to the park and see what is out there.0 -
Dull, grey and cold here. So wish Spring had sprung, not long now though! I always feel better once the clocks go forward.
Hope you have all had a good day.

You are all quite right and I don't really care if I am in a bin bag as long as everyone is happy. DD is popping round to see us and will ask her what she thinks of some styles online then actually go and try things on properly.
Trouble was that I did not want to leave DH for long so online sales shopping seemed like such a good idea at the time.

I hope Spring comes soon for you. Our neighbour's cherry blossom is in bud and we have daffodils coming up in the garden which is cheering us up a lot."This site is addictive!"

Elona why not check the length of something that is the right length, and order online to try on at home? Phase Eight have some lovely things in - I always try a size up from usual as they can be a bit cosy2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Hang in there Mardatha, the cherry blossom is out in one tree in the park here and others will follow soon. Blimmin cold and raw today though but I expect we are one day nearer to spring all the same!
