Monna, I am so pleased for you. it takes a great deal of effort and courage to pick yourself up, but you are doing it.
There will be days now when you have something to get up for and that can only be good for you.
It sounds to me as though we will have the real Monna back soon. Go girl you can do it.
Much love

That's great news Monna, lots of things to get involved with.

Mpnna So happy to read your post Onward and upwards .

There but for fortune go you and I.0 -
Thank you all. I feel so stupid as I have always been so active and sociable. It was only just over a year ago when I was running the Homeless Project, and for years now have been catering for large numbers at lunch clubs, funeral wakes and various church events. Not to mention giving talks to goups, writing and editing magazines and generally being a busy little soul and a force to be reckoned with.
I had to screw my courage up to just approach someone to ask if they needed any volunteers. How feeble is that?
Anyway, that's enough about me. I've taken the first step and as Polly said," onwards and upwards." Or as we have discussed previously, "Chin up. Titus out."

Not feeble in the slightest. Actually I think it incredibly brave of you. That first step is incredibly hard to make and having been told the library didn't need anyone, it would have been very easy to give up and go home.
Hester you are good for the tone of this place - leaving quietly indeed.
And since I didn't get round to posting the other day, hopefully by now the ex is in a situation that makes the Deep Heat a rather pleasant memory - stick to you guns and get what you deserve (failing that settle for what you actually want - I'm not sure the courts can order seizure of assets and hung drawn and quartered anymore).0 -
Monna That's brilliant news, and as nuatha says, very brave of you :T
Hester I hope you're joking about leaving the thread, we'd miss you a great deal! x0 -

Yowza. So there's no threatening him with that to get the money I guess.
Monnagran, good job on getting out there. There'll be a lot of folks glad of a volunteer like you, the lifeboats seem like a great cause.
I am almost recovered from the party. ...which should tell you how good a party it was! Dry February for me here.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -

I'm not sure anyone would want those assets if they have been bathed in Deep Heat!
Go monna! Anyone who has you as a volunteer will benefit from your knowledge, life skills and unending humour. I'm so glad you decided to go and grab life again.
Softstuff, you certainly seem to have had a good party. Sorry we are so late, the storms keep getting in the way. Henry is presently doing his best to scare the living daylights out of me, I'm off to bed in a minute to hide under the covers.
Stay safe everyone.0 -
Good for you Monna you need to get out, as you said you used to do so much.0
