Constant horrible sleety rain alternating to snow up here.

Thank you all, we're calming down here. I am toughed and genuinely comforted by the love from you all. I hope you all know what yiu mean to me, even if sometimes I struggle to keep up here.

A day wall painting and watching teen vampire movies on netflix with my friends daughter helped. She's gone home now, but we might have 2 of them to hang out with at the weekend (I would say babysit, but that would make me more of a responsible adult than I am )

Our trainer spent ages with us today. She has in a short time gotten to know us and is adamant it wasn't us (which is really nice to hear from a professional ). It's lovely that you friends here know me well enough to know we gave it our all. She tells us the pup will be fine elsewhere and she's trying to get us to look at other people puppies, to see how easy it should have been to do the right thing and she wants to helps us fill the puppy shaped hole in our hearts.

Tough going right now nontheless, chocolate and wine will help. Plus physio tomorrow cos stress really !!!!!!s my leg up.

Monnagran - so sorry to hear your sad news, it must have been a terrible shock to hear about your friend x

Softstuff - my goodness you are having such a difficult time :( . So sorry to hear about the pup - I was in a similar situation many years ago and it broke my heart having to rehome ours. It sounds like you've done the right thing by him, not an easy decision to make x

Big hugs to all those who need them today xx

So glad you got that sorted fuddle, what a lot of anguish the surgery have caused you.
Softstuff, you have to believe that it wasn't anything you did. Time is a great healer. Enjoy the physio.

My friend's husband and children have just left, they went up to the hospital to see my friend (her mum is at the end of her life) and I had a curry waiting for them. They have now eaten, the daughter has gone to Guides and husband and son gone to see friend's dad who is in another hospital. My heart goes out to them, such a terrible time but the children seem to be doing ok, even though they have to put up with me taking and picking them up from school, feeding them and generally having to put up with me!

Mar, I went through Hebden Bridge on the second train of my journey home today, from York to Blackpool. Couldn't see the town centre but as Fuddle says it was quite badly flooded.

Thank you all for your thoughts yesterday, it went as well as it could, cold sunshine rather than snow (Sunday) or rain (today). At least the three brothers can begin to move on now.

So, is anyone with me for a New New Year party? For some of us 2016 has not begun well, so I propose we do New Years Day on 1st Feb. Yes, it'll be a shorter year, but I'm good with that.

All those interested can use our Christmas leftover bits, booze and pick up reduced 2016 new years decs.

I am semi serious for us here, I think it would be wise to just cancel off January.

Fuddle, I contrast what happened at your doctors surgery with what happened at my old one in England. The docs here in Australia wanted my vaccination records to see if I'd had everything. So I sent my mum in England into the surgery to see how I could go abiut obtaining them (if it had to be in writing, if there was a fee etc). They just printed my bloody records out and gave them to her  I didn't mind, since it was what I needed, but it's a bit out there privacy wise.

Sending hugs to all in need and boy are they a lot of you. xxx

What a lot of people having a rough time at the moment. Sending hugs and caring thoughts to all who need them. Sorry I can't remember everyone - bit of brain fog here today, due to 3 days doing a 1.5 hours round trip twice a day. My routine is all to pot.

I'm all for starting the new year on 1st February, but DH has just finished the last piece of Christmas cake and I don't have much in the way of party food left. I can make a virtual one though!

Hope everyone is keeping safe and warm.
