moneyistooshorttomention The last time I wore cropped trousers as cropped trousers I was about 10. My mum made them for me and they were turquoise.
The only way to do it is to slim down so skinny you can fit in ten year old's trousers and that is very skinny.
No ones legs are shrinking they are just making each length 2 inches longer.
Has anyone noticed I am back so early from the hospital? They got me to the hospital 2 hours early. Not that that got me in any earlier as I had the first appointment for the afternoon clinic not the morning one. I was lucky to catch a driver going off early so I got picked up to come back after only 15 minutes instead of 2 hours. We were just early enough to get back without getting stuck in traffic.0 -
Hi all, Cat4722 I changed over to a water meter, it has really saved me loads of money.
Just made cheese & onion quiche for tea, it smells yummy!
Have a good evening everyone. MM0 -
Well - little Miss Stilty was an utter star - she was truly awesome and the funny woman with her didn't do too bad either! LOL
She also paid attention and made some appropriate contributions to 3 different hour long workshops - I think that the people who saw her today will never forget the huge benefits that alternative forms of communication can bring to a young child and the worlds that it opens up for them - Hx0 -
She'll never know that she's my hero....she's definately the wind beneath my wings!!!0

Well done to Miss Stilty & her mum.
Hugs to Mrs LW, sorry you are facing so many problems at present. I have a couple of toads living in my garden.
I love the comment about 'pee on the desk' it made me chuckle, one of my particularly annoying work colleagues buts in to every conversation with our line manager, I now insist my LM come to my office to speak to me as I refuse to have said colleague interrupting everything.
I've made £50 on ebay & found some items of clothing to list next, I've also had 5 or 6 paid for sewing jobs to do over the last few days, I won't make a fortune but it helps keep the wolf from the door.

Glad it went so well Helen - we all knew it would! :T I loved Lyn's comment.
Maggie So pleased for you that you got home at a reasonable timeMakes a change eh?
On the subject of trousers, I need a 29" length and they seem quite hard to find these days - I can get them at M & S but a lot of shops seem to assume that we're now very tall AND wear very high heels all the time!
There's one shop where I always buy my linen trousers, because they are so well cut, but I always have to take a couple of inches off the hems.
Sorry to hear Terry Pratchett has died - but at the same time, I'm glad for him. Alzheimer's is so awful0 -
Yay for Miss Stilty! I bet the crowd were eating out of her hands.
Though trousers are indeed longer, it's a rare pair that are long enough for me. I take a 34" inside leg, so resorted instead to wearing the same trousers as my husband. A standard pair of pants gives me the traditional star trek half mast effect.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Still here! Sorry I've not been posting but am trying to do other things than playing on the computer. So far the other things seem to consist of reading, knitting and watching repeats of 'Heartbeat' on TV.
Lyn: hugs upon hugs my dear. You know that Docky might live with you but we all have a share in loving him. Sometimes loving means letting go but my goodness, that is a hard thing to do. We are all supporting you and your family, both the 2 legged and 4 legged variety.
Congrats to Miss Stilty, we all knew that you would knock 'em dead.
Love to you all.

Three cheers for Miss Stilty and her mum!
Softstuff - I also need a 34" leg - not paying LTS prices so have to hunt around. I positively hate too short trousers as I look as if I've grown out of them so often resort to crops instead.
Well done HUH to making some dish on fleabag - every little helps.
Watched the last of the Sewing Bee tonight - wasn't impressed with the final dresses but enjoyed the series.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
