GQ - sometimes the jeans in A**a are quite long & I actually bought some jersey ones in Sainsbugs that are shock horror - TOO LONG. They were a pair of Gok Wan's design so I can actually wear them with heels
Like you I found the quality of LTS to be no better than SM ones and at 3 times the price. Next do long ones too but I have no bum to speak of so if they're made for more curvy ladies I look like I need a nappy (sorry if thats TMI
)
You might get along with mens pants too silvasava. I got the shock of my life when I finally tried a pair and found they actually fit... unlike most of the womens ones I'd tried.
Thanks for the link Grandma, interesting for the future, but for right now (and maybe for the next year) clothes are off the cards. We're on a mattress on the floor to sleep, sitting on borrowed plastic chairs at a plastic table and have no washing machine, so I'd best look at priorities :rotfl: Still haven't sorted nickle free, latex free undies, so am resorting to being occasionally commandoSoftstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
When you were always a 16-18 and the 20s are now getting too tight, you know you ate too many biscuits, don't you?
GQ I think we may have been separated at birth apart from the hair colouring that is. Mine started brown but has rapidly gone to a dirty grey colour that needs dyed more and more frequently. Sorry if your not looking for a sister, but the good thing about family is you don't have to talk to them lol xx
Congrats to Miss Stilty had a feeling you would knock em dead and am sure mum did a fantastic job too xx0 -
Softstuff - I've worn mens jeans for years when they never did ladies long enough. The bum was always just right & so was the rise but the waist was always a bit too big so wore leather belts.
GQ Just been into sainsbugs & their long length is 33" they also look as if they go up to a size 20 - maybe look on line??Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Well done to Miss Stilty and her supporting act!
Went to get petrol today and found the flap covering the petrol cap had been pushed in hard and was stuck. A call to my breakdown service provider resulted in a man with a van and a plastic scraper - fixed in no time at all! Relief because if it had broken it would have cost me an arm a leg and a kidney to repair.
If I ever meet the scrotebag who tampered with it I shall wire him up to the National Grid! One life - your life - live it!0 -

You can be my online sister if you like, I haven't got one IRL, I'm the big sis to one long-suffering Kid Bruv. Poor beggar.
My hair went from carroty as a child, to rich auburn with gold and bronze strands and is speedily turning bright white. Manes of bright white hair is a family trait on Dad's side. I'm letting it do its thing right now, thinking the combo of white hair/ dark brows and lashes and sludgy green eyes might be interesting. Thank gawd for my brunette Mum, I'm so glad I didn't inherit Dad's sandy brows and lashes.:rotfl:
I have just crawled off the floor where I have been lying attempting to stretch out my hip ligaments which are giving me hell after walking about 3 miles and digging for 4.5 hours on the allotment. Owww-eeee!! Another reason for thinking I should get the extra weight off, turning the big Five-Oh last year was a little bit of a wake-up call.Oh, and my reflection in mirrors and the 8 pairs of casual trousers and 6 pairs of dressy trousers and two skirts I can't actually get myself into right now.* Oh, the shame, the shame.
* Oh, and the very good quality waterproof overtrousers and.....well, you get the picture. Don't need more clothes, just need fewer wobbly bits.
Lottie is looking v.good atm, to a casual onlooker. There's lots of things still to do but I repeat dug an area today which represents about a quater of the cultivated area. Tomorrow, weather permitting, I shall rake it and plant it. Have put the home-saved broad beans into water to soak and will plant them. It speeds up the germination quite a bit. 48 hours' soaking is even better but I can't chance that as Sunday's weather might be pants and I'd have to stay at home and read [STRIKE]murder mysteries[/STRIKE] umm, do housework and other important things.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Hi all ,stop talking about putting on /loosing weight
,its making me feel quite guilty sitting here eating a large bag of crisps ,have just came in from work and absolutely famished .....hom hum ,maybe just having one of those nights ...some guy at the bar ,wittered on of ages about how I had must have lost a lot of weight since he last seen me !! Then would not believed me when I said I had not ,as if I really cared about what he was saying ...the rest of the bar stood open mouthed at him,...some people !!! So OK I may not be a stick insect (size 14 ) but I really don't care ,happy and healthy would do me ,:)
As for my place on the fence think I would be up from the small end but down from the middle at 5ft 5 ...don't think I have started shrinking jet:rotfl:
Better get some sleep ds has football at 9 30
Bye for now xxxx£223/ £250 GC0 -
Morning fencers. I shall be outside quite a lot today, want to get on with gardening and there's the usual dog walking to do. I'll have DD for company today so that will be nice.Spend less now, work less later.0

burtha Do you think maybe it was his chat up line??Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Hell, burtha, if I was as small as a 14 (last achieved as a 14 y.o. back in the seventies) I would be soooo chuffed I'd be insufferable. I'd also be extremely thin for my build and probably unwell, too. You ignore the blighter and go your own sweet way.
Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
