Thanks for the link Rainy days - that district is north of MrsL and me & an upmarket area on the border with Berkshire so London commuting distance!! But MrsL, Greenbee and I all live further south but we all do love our own areas!
Ivyleaf -I think you are right about it being a Dennis Potter play as it had a very dark undertone. I think it came out about the same time as Abigail's Party.
Pops your arrangements over the Christmas holiday sound lovely. Taxis are so expensive it does make outings prohibitive unless you can share :(

    Our bit's nicer :D

Unless it's changed a lot recently Fleet is a dump (although Hartley Wintney and Odiham are pretty) and it's a very overcrowded area. Lots of money there though - as you say, easy commuting distance to London, plus lots of tech employment in Reading as they're in the M3/M4 corridor.

We must try and catch up again soon.

And I really must stop wasting time online and get the Christmas tree decorated!

camelot I'll try to post a link.

Yay, that seems to have worked.

ETA Forgot to say thank you kittie about the info re valerian. I may give it a try, but atm I have very bizarre dreams (I think it's due to a combination of falling hormones and the blood pressure medication I'm on) and am a bit nervous that valerian may make them even worse.

Feeling very weary this Sunday morning - we had a 2am phone call to tell us that my DH's dad died last night, just 10 weeks after losing his mum.

    Will someone please cancel Christmas?

Well Floss, maybe his dad needed to be with his wife and didn't want to live without her. Tell hubby at least they're back together now, and he has you xxxxxx
  • So sorry Floss, as mardatha says, they are together now.

Agree with you Greenbee - our bits are much nicer and nearer the sea! Don't worry - hav'n't got my tree up yet either! Will do it today though. Good to catch up in the new year when MrsL is back from her travels etc & you are not on yours!
