^Didn't see much of it last night in the end as I was late back from the hospital and then had to ring my Dad, and was trying to get some tea ready at the same time lol!

I did see that poor lady and her collapsed black forest gateau though, and that she was in tears .....she managed to stay in though! Just shows it's better to take something, anything, up to the judges rather than throwing it in the bin!!

Looking forward to Friday's extra slice:p

Bake off day again today Westie - where has this week gone? And I've hardly been on here! :-)

I'm really excited that I've passed a credit check for a smartphone! Not sure if I'm more excited about the phone or just that I passed the credit check!!:j:j:rotfl:

Yes I'm very happy to have it for the following reasons

1. I've had my current phone since 2003:rotfl:It has been amazing and I love it dearly but it deserves a happy retirement.

2. I would like feel part of the 21st century:rotfl:and catch up before I'm hopelessly left behind.

3. It will save me money versus the amount of calling/texting I was doing previously with my new package of calls/texts/data. I'm better off and have a wonderful new phone lol!

4. It will be fun:j

By the way it's my birthday today!!

:bdaycake: I met a friend in town this morning for coffee, then this evening I'm going for a meal out with another friend at a local pub/restaurant which is very good value & great food!! Looking forward to it xxx

Happy Birthday!

I have to admit I like the range of apps on my smartphone I can use to earn/save money, I've paid the purchase cost of my last two iPhones through a mystery shopping app over the lifetime of the phones (and considering one went for a swim and I bought a new one it was a shorter lifetime than I intended for one of them).

Thanks Westie and scuba! Yes that's one thing I can join in with now hopefully scuba - earning money on a phone! I've seen lots of folks posting on the £10 extra a day challenge about it but I've always felt left out LOL xx
