Hi Gretchen, it's all because of the help I received from Levi - he sent me a routine to keep to in the evenings as much as possible. i.e wind down, get screens off, have bath or shower, make milky drink, perhaps have some thinking/prayer/meditation time, get to bed before 12.00 midnight (that was great for me as I was so often up into the early hours) I don't follow all of this every night but I use it as a guide.
I was often on these diaries very late too, as I'd become addicted to them LOL! So now I'm aiming for no internet in the evenings (I still watch some tv) and it's made an amazing difference.
He also made me a fab reward chart to log my progress on....it made me feel immensely supported and I'm finding I'm usually asleep as soon as I go to bed!!! If I miss my curfew now and again it's usually only by about 15 mins. I don't feel under any pressure with it but I'm benefiting in all areas from having slept better.
I realized I wasn't actually doing any productive work or solving any of my problems during these late night hours - I'm now much more productive earlier in the day than I used to be so I'm gradually moving back into GMT instead of thinking I live in New York LOL!!:rotfl:
I rang the counselling team yesterday and they've confirmed I'm definitely on the waiting list for the CBT and haven't dropped off the system. Apparently I should be getting a letter from them in a couple of weeks or so.£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[

Thanks HB. Think I need to start doing something like that. I'm so much the same reading diaries that are very addictive and it gets later and later. Then when OH goes to work at five I find I can't get back to sleep so read them again for another hour. Maybe switching technology off at night would be a start lol.
I have been busy in the days though going down to the allotments and working quite hard. Come home tired, eat, have a bath and then I'm wide awake again until the early hours. This plus the pain I'm in is driving me mad. I might get to bed before midnight tonight though.

You sound as if you're in the same cycle that I was in Gretchen - plus also the pain like Westie:o Sounds like you're a combination of the two of us!!
Do try the ideas of bed before midnight and turning off your internet during the evening as early as possible. I'm not on the internet after tea at the moment. I thought my life would fall apart if I wasn't online until the early hours LOL!!:D
I had a lovely day out yesterday - my FGN's took me to a garden in the "Open Garden" scheme, where people open up their own gardens to the public. It was stunning - and the couple who owned the house gave us a cuppa which was lovely too! Apparently they spend nearly all day every day tending their garden!!£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[

Well guess what Gretchen, I failed last night too LOL! I wasn't online but I was well over my midnight curfew, then had hiccups for about an hour because I took a cup of tea to bed with me and kind of swallowed it wrong LOL!!! Oh well, the best laid plans and all that....I feel really tired today so at least that's a reminder of how important it is to stick to the plan!:p
I had another lovely day yesterday though - one of my friends invited me over for lunch - we had roast chicken with jacket potatoes and lots of lovely roasted veg - and some icecream and then some lemon meringue pie later. And we watched 13 going on 30 which is one of my fave chick flicks! Brilliant way to spend an extremely wet Sunday afternoon!:T£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[
