Today has been good - felt happy and contented even though it was teeming down outside until later in the afternoon. More than happy to get on with work, and didn't go out until about 6.15 when I nipped out to Mr T's.....and struck gold LOL!! Lots of lovely deli items marked down to ridiculous prices like 9p:j:j:j And I got a lovely pack of deli ham (not the prepacked ham) for 44p when it should have been £2.94, and it has a use by date of 20th.
And that's great because I have a friend coming for lunch tomorrow and this kind of food will be perfect as they are coming a long way (calling in to see me on the way to somewhere else) and so I'm not really sure what time they'll arrive.
I'm going to have ciabatta and olives, cheese, ham, salad etc so nothing will be spoiling if they're late. Oh and a cheeky glass of vino:p
Also, another friend has won a competition for an overnight stay in a hotel with dinner and breakfast for 2.........and she wants to take me!:j:j:j Great news. Not sure where we're going yet!! (or when LOL)£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[

Yay for the awesome reductions.
Hope you have a lovely visit with your friends, always nice when people are popping in on the way elsewhere.
Even better about the hotel stay, hope where and whenever it is that it can be a lovely relaxing night away. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Well today has been a bit bizarre, because my friend didn't make it in the end - he rang me to say he would be about 2 hours late, due to the weather/hold ups with traffic etc, then rang again to say he was now so far behind schedule he'd have to push on to the next place he was due at.
Never mind these things happen - and no food is going to get wasted - I've just had a (very) late lunch/early tea and can use the rest tomorrow:j:j
Hope everyone has been having a lovely day xx£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[
