Oh bless you, I really hope that you have a brighter evening. I had a really bad day yesterday, spent most of the time crying
I know a couple of others who have felt really low this week too. I know that you must be feeling extra vulnerable now but honestly you have done the right thing in making that appointment. Keep talking to us on here too. I never want to say anything when I'm low but once I start talking it does help a lot xxxxx

The worst point of my day is when I hear the thud of the post coming through the letterbox. The facts that a) I work from home and b) that the post comes late makes this worse (it comes any time from about 11am -1.00pm). Once the post arrives I usually manage to open it all, but sometimes there are items I can't face. Eg. Last week I didn't open the EON letter because I have some arrears with them. I opened it when I felt more able to deal with it, the next day - and it was only a statement of my annual energy use compared to last year's, not a demand for full payment.......
P.S The post has come for today..... it included something nice.....my John Lewis voucher for free coffee and cake!!:j
Hi hummingbird. Sorry to intrude but thought I might be able to offer a bit of advice to help lessen the worry when you receive letters from us.
If you talk to us about the arrears, we can look at setting up a payment arrangement to spread the balance over a more manageable period. This can be included with the ongoing usage so no sudden demands for payment. By going for a Monthly Direct Debit, we'll knock about £35 per fuel per year off your bills. There's discount, too, for registering with our website for paperless billing.
We also run a scheme where you can earn Reward Points. These can be exchanged for either Tesco Clubcard points or High Street Shopping Vouchers. It's free but you'll need to opt in to receive the points. This can be done online or over the phone.
There's other schemes that might help such as Warm Home Discount (worth £140 last year) as well as help with energy saving measures like loft and cavity wall insulation through a Government backed initiative called the Energy Company Obligation (ECO). Again, there's more information on our website to help see if you're eligible.
Sorry again to interrupt your thread hummingbird but hope the info's of some use. Good luck and hope you start to sleep a bit better soon.

Thank you so much Malc for dropping by on my diary! That info is very helpful and I hope it helps anyone else too who happens to be reading the diary.
I think I may be entitled to the Warm Home Discount because I receive Working Tax Credit - I did try to check last winter but I was too late to apply so missed out. Must check when I need to get an application in by for the following winter. That extra help would be amazing.
Thank you again!

You're very welcome Hummingbird. Only too happy to help. You can register your interest for Warm Home Discount now. Either through our website or by phoning us. The 2015/16 scheme isn't open yet but we'll take your details and be in touch when it is. Shouldn't be long now as we're just finalising the details.

Hi becs!:j Actually it's been much better -probably due to two things mainly, that I slept well and that it's been sunny and warm here today. :j
I've noticed how weather-affected I am, and yesterday was cold, wet and windy here which didn't help me. I don't know why it affects me so much though (And why am I living in the UK then? LOL!!!!!! )
Let's hope we get a good summer this year eh??
How are you my lovely? Hope you've had a good day xxx£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[

Hi little birdie. So glad you feel a bit better today. Oddly I am the flip-reverse of you with weather, I like rainy days but sunny days can make me feel more depressed (if I am already depressed, if I feel fine I enjoy them) I think it is due to the subconscious feeling of "EVERYONE IS OUT HAVING A GREAT TIME AND SO SHOULD YOU!" - thats my theory at least
anyway either way, get lots of sleep , look after yourself and keep in touch with your feelings ..... hopefully the bad patch will be short lived for you but long term solutions by seeing the GP always a good plan... love ya oodles. xx

I can understand the other way of looking at it - a friend of mine I used to share a flat with used to throw water up at the windows when it was sunny and she had to study for exams LOL:rotfl: she was trying to convince herself it was raining and she wasn't missing out on anything!! My approach was....right, study for an hour, sunbathe for 15 mins as a reward, study for an hour etc!!!
Love you T - H - I - S much LOL! xx
P.S - I'm definitely going to the GP, even if I feel brilliant every day between now and then!!!£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[

Brilliant! The post came relatively early today at 11.00am - and was just two items, both lovely - some Tesco vouchers (not my Clubcard ones but ones to do with the Tesco Orchard Program) and a set of 5 CDs that I had been able to send for free!! I'd forgotten they were due to arrive:j:j
So that's over with for today and also Sunday is my "day off" from this trauma as there is no post!!!!£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[
