My poor diary - so neglected! But you're always waiting here for me, like a faithful friend!!!
Well yesterday, having been inspired by Levi, I decided to have a "semi-productive afternoon" LOL! Got the house sparkling - it does indeed feel wonderful.
Today I can get on with cutting the grass - I have 3 parts to this job, as I think I mentioned before - front and back are quite small but it's the "bit on the side" that causes the problems :rotfl: with two trees that will once again have dropped lots of twigs and debris after those gales we had again. My poor little mower.
Had a low spend day yesterday of £1.06:T£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[

I've just been watching the VE Day celebrations - after being reminded of what those girls in WW2 had to do in the Land Army and the Forestry ( and they still managed to look glamorous??????:o) I am now feeling that I don't even know I'm born!!
I love learning anything and everything about this era. I'd like to think that if we'd been called upon to do the same, we would have risen to the occasion ....but it's humbling and inspiring at the same time.
I thought about it too late yesterday while I was watching the concert - I should have invited the girls round for a tea party and we could have worn our tea dresses, red lippy and put our hair up 40's style!!! I would have loved that, I'll have to find another time to do it! :-)£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[

That would've been a lot of fun!! Never too late though, arrange it for next weekend!! Tell them they must bring cake
Hope the gardening goes ok! My OH has been de-weeding ours. He's going to mow the lawns after the Grand Prix has finishedI'm absolutely rubbish at gardening!! I'll just stick to buying the pretty plants :rotfl:

I might do the '40's style party later in the summer. I could string up some bunting between the trees and put some tables out - there's plenty of room and the trees provide some lovely shade if it does happen to be hot!!
I've been doing very well on low spends - every day this week has been low - did spend just over £6 today. I've definitely got my day-to-day spending down to a level that would have seemed impossible to me before. It's been necessity that's brought the improvement though and I'd love to splash some cash if I could!!!!:p£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[
