Something funny happened last night. I posted on here 11.13pm, thanked Westie for her post at 11.14pm.......next thing I knew I woke up...at about midnight....I'd fallen asleep at the laptop LOL!!!:D

Went straight to bed and had a really good night's sleep!!!! I'd worn myself out with all the emotion of the day I think!

Happy to announce that yesterday was a NSD and it looks highly likely that today is going to be another one!!:j

Don't know if you watched Eurovision last night or, if you did, you spotted the namecheck(s) in the Swedish song.

    " We are the heroes
We keep dancing with the demons
    You could be a hero
Now go sing it like a hummingbird
    The greatest anthem ever heard
    Now sing together
We are the heroes of our time"

Putting to one side the fact that hummingbirds aren't exactly noted for their singing*, thought it was rather apt, somehow. There's a whole community here "singing together" & lots of heroes dancing with their particular demons.

    * "Hummingbirds will often twitter or chatter while resting or when in pursuit of other hummingbirds. These high-pitched calls, which are slightly different for each species, may be considered their songs because the birds use them to establish territories and for courting"

Oh I did greyfox, I wrote on Westie's diary because she was watching it too LOL! Even though the show is ridiculous I really liked the Swedish song for this very reason and wanted it to win!! I was really happy when it did!!:j

I actually chose my user name because I'm a singer - it is mainly because of the Gibson Hummingbird guitar, the most beautiful guitar ever made I think, and of which I owned one of the famous "lawsuit" Japanese copies. I would love to have my very own genuine Gibson one day, and in the meantime the less expensive version made by their sister company Epiphone would also be wonderful.

Thanks so much for posting the lyrics for me xxxxx

    Hello!!

Love the namecheck in Eurovision. It is something so toe-curlingly embarrassing for me personally that I couldn't even read the online meme's popping up all over about the Brit act. Something about lighting up dresses. I got the gist of most songs from friends posting :rotfl:

I am dancing with the demons today. Trying to get back into ketosis :( and literally dancing around Jellytot and her toilet training.

Hope your day is lovely!! xxx

when will I learn - I wanted Sweden or Italy they were my votes after the the songs were sung - then I just "enjoyed" the witt of MR G Norton.
