I thought of you when I got the Topcashback email, too, particularly this bit:

"Like our hummingbird, we are agile, fast-paced, determined, hard-working, and relentless"

A pretty good description, I reckon!

^ Thanks greyfox!! I was thinking about this yesterday - I used to be like this but I don't feel I am any more. But I'm determined to be as much like this as possible again, because these are the qualities we need to be debt free!!!!:j:j:j

Westie - shame we can't vote isn't it!! Prof Brian Cox for me please!!!:p But I did hear it was going to be Jane Austen - far too sense and sensibility LOL.

Now this is a bit weird..... at the moment I've got this thing going on where if I'm thinking of something it seems to be turning up all over the place!!

Just been to the supermarket & picked up the local paper - it has an article on the front about the new £20 note and suggestions for who should be on the back!!!!! Apparently we CAN nominate.....as I live in Leicester they are suggesting Lord Richard Attenborough. Apparently he's already among the bookies' favourites alongside LS Lowry, Alexander McQueen and Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

I know it's the £20 note and not the £10 but I'm a bit stunned!! If you want to vote you can do so on the Bank of England website!!!

In any case, the picture of the roll of £20 notes on the front of the paper is going on my fridge!!:p

Just wondering if anyone can help with any tips on getting a doctor's appointment?

I am meant to be making an appointment for 2-3 weeks time with the same doctor I saw last week

I went today but was told there's nothing available as all the slots for the next 2 weeks are taken and they don't take appointments for further in advance than that.

I was then told I could see another doctor - but I would prefer to see the same doctor I saw last time, and he did say to go back him anyway!

I'll just have to be persistent and keep trying - I can apparently just take my chance on either 10th or 11th of June and ring up on the day....... those appts are supposed to be for urgent consultations though. The receptionist seemed a bit disinterested and offhand so I think I'll try again and hopefully get someone more helpful.

Not too much of a problem right now as I've got plenty of time to get back to him in the time frame he said. Who knows if I go back tomorrow I might get something:cool:

Well I didn't get to the surgery today to try to make an appointment so I'll try again on Monday.......

Now to announce my 5p to freedom project!! I have a wine bottle which I thought would be a good container to collect some coins in...(inspired by Westie) so that I can make some extra payments (inspired by Step).

Only thing is, the only coin that fits in the neck of the bottle is a 5p so I thought I'd start collecting those - after all a 5p is a small enough amount not to be missed.

I only need 720,000 of these to be debt free....this is going to be EASY!!!!!!!!:D

I found one in the bank this afternoon!!:rotfl: I think that means I'm on the right track.

You've sussed me out Westie, hahaha! xxx Actually it's a sentimental wine bottle, I've had it ages and can't bring myself to throw it away...it survives every time LOL! So I thought I might as well use it for something!!
