Oh Westie the C word.....LOL. You realize of course that we're only safe until the end of this month. From 1st July onwards it's catalogues through the post, then stuff in the shops at the end of August........:o

I did well in getting to bed by 11.30 last night but couldn't sleep for hours because the gales were horrendous!

I'm going to be persistent though and aim to get to bed at this time regularly ( unless out - but that's not very often LOL!!)

If you see me posting on here after that feel free to tell me off:D

I was finding great success with the bedtime with the sun thing, although that won't fly in Winter. Then I fell out of it again and ended up online at 10-11pm. Not good. Must get to bed early tonight. 2 stressful weeks ahead!

As for the C word.... I bought my first presents 3 months ago. ;) got all the cards and wrap. Decided to make some nice keepsake name tags people can stick on their tree so better get those started soon! A couple of years ago I made star shaped biscuits with a hole in, tied ribbon through, wrote names on in icing and then placed them in cellophane bags with more ribbon, and sent everyone those as present tags. Christmas morning I got a lot of texts about my yummy biscuits... The ones in this house meanwhile are still uneaten years later and go in a special box with baking soda at the end of Christmas and on the tree each year. One for me, Jelly & Him. :)

Hope you both get a decent sleep tonight!! xx

Thanks Lilty! You are of course right.... no point pretending it won't arrive and being prepared well ahead is far better!! Last year I didn't do too badly, started in September. I think I've still got quite a few cards and some wrap left over so perhaps a quick stock check now would be valuable!!

Have had a NSD today and only spent £2.45 yesterday!!:T:T

    hey ladies,

I do go to bed at a normal time, in fact I was asleep before the end of BB last night, but it seems to be I get woken up dead on 4am each night with pains in my leg, like I am being stabbed with hot pokers, which leads me to potter about trying to stomp it out then get back to sleep before my alarm goes of for work....

lets see if it happens again tonight, cross your fingers peeps...

** I have a wrapping paper stock, cards, and a savings pot ready.. for that lovely C day :-)

:D My C day savings pot is £300 so far!! :j And the food pot is at £60 too. I won't need it all but it can just be shuffled at the end of the year :D

Hope you both manage decent sleeps tonight. I am out of bed way too late but I napped with Jelly earlier.

Sleep tight. Westie have you ever tried tiger balm on your leg when you wake up? I get *growing pains* when I am overtired, and I also get very bad sciatica on days/nights like the last few. The tiger balm really does help. The red one. xxx

^ LOL! Sorry to give you a "C Word Shocker":rotfl:

Let's start now, even just a £ or two will add up. I had a separate purse I put £10 in when I could manage it, and then if I saw any good prezzies I could buy them when I saw them. I didn't start til September last year but starting now will make it easier!!:D

Just got a surprise ....my referral for counselling has come through already!! That's much quicker than I thought it might be so am really pleased:T:T

I have to book an initial assessment with a therapist, which will be a telephone appointment and last approx 30 mins. I have a questionnaire enclosed which I have to fill out to discuss during this appt, then I can decide whether I want to commence the counselling (I'm sure I will want to).

I'm feeling relieved that the process is underway!!!:j
