My first cat used to go insane for marmite/Bovril on toast.
Last-but-one cat was a demon for elastic bands and we used to have to regularly have a moan at the postie about him dropping them.
Kira (5 yr old malamute) has chewed TV and wii remotes, several paperbacks, various plastic kids toys that she believed should be hers, a plastic tub of muffins including the cases, the corner of the newel post when we tried to make her stay downstairs.
Mack (18 month Malamute) eats poo and used to just hoover anything he found on the street during a walk - fag butts, tissues. He will also have the pan scourer so we have had to fit a kitchen caddy on the wall where he can't reach to hold these now - they always some back in 2 pieces at around 3am in our bedroom. He has also stolen several loaves of bread - he leaves the plastic bags as evidence.
Both eat toilet rolls if they can get them - the cat just shreds them.
One of the dogs ate my Christmas present - silver dangly earrings in a presentation box. I only found the foam padding.

Terry's chocolate oranges, 3 of them in a week. Boxes and everything.
She found them wherever I hid them so I don't buy them anymore!

Had a border collie who would eat our poodles poo, the poodle once ate a small box of chocolates but was okay. The poodle had a thing for fish food, and seemed to find it no matter where it was.
My cat has the habit of going down the food bin for a rummage, my sisters cat tried not long ago to raid the food waste bin and tried to eat a banana skin.

Ours has chewed pen and one of those rush type coasters but not eaten those. She has been found licking the butter left out once and this week, chewed the foam ball she was supposed to be chasing and swallowed several small chunks, which thankfully have passed through. However, she's not a year old yet...

His mum's dog has had a chocolate orange habit a few times. They tend to be accessible as she's in a wheelchair so can't put things up high.

A friend's cav king charles has expensive tastes- she goes for entire boxes of the seriously dark 70% cocoa chocolate. And has had her stomach pumped twice for this so far....

One of my cats ate an elastic band, which we only found out about because there were bits of it in his puke.

And then there was the bag of fudge which OH had bought as a treat for himself... he still swears the cats undid the zip on his bag to get it!
Excuse any mis-spelt replies, there's probably a cat sat on the keyboard
  • My cat eats odd things, found a half eaten tray that they put fish on in the Supermarket, where he had go it out of the bin!!
Also come down in the morning and trod on a bone where I've had ribs the night before and the cats have eaten the meat off them and used them as a toy!!

Yesterday one of the dogs (not sure which) ate a Jamie O cookbook. I removed it and they ate DS's BBC Life book. That was removed and they then emptied the rest of the book case and ate 2 photo albums and some more books.
Last week she ate 1/2lb butter and vomited everywhere.
A few weeks ago 1 lb of raisins and entire loaf of Bara Brith.
Umpteen remotes and wires. The entire Harry Potter Blueray collection. Chocolate oranges. A box of wine.
Often wish I had never got the second dog because together they are terrible trouble.

One of our GSDs ate a toad.

She was so ill, the vet had to put her on a drip.

Some years ago one of my dogs ate a box of Thorntons diabetic chocs on Christmas Day when I was out (The real Katie hound). She had unpacked a box of presents ready to post- they were at the bottom, and removed the wrapping paper as well. Phone call to the vet on Christmas day!- she was fine luckily.

My new boy, now aged 3, in the last few weeks has shredded 2 bras (irreplacable as the firm has gone out of business!), chewed a travelling alarm clock to bits, 2 large pine cones, a tube of lacrilube and the piece de resistance!:- chewed and sucked a whole tube of Sudocrem which made him very sick all over his bed , the spare bed and the carpet whilst I was out swimming. Loads of washing ensued on a very wet day! Words were exchanged!!!
Clearly he likes chewing but I can't leave him with foody chewy things as there would be war between the two hounds in my absence!
