Energy Prices Increasing - Fix Now?

I have long suspected that the computer in charge of E.On is insane, and this is just further proof. The only 2 year fix product is for the over 60s?
Also, the one year fix is set ridiculously high above the market norm.
E.On didn't buy a second hand supercomputer called HAL 9000, by any chance? The problem is, if you challenge HAL on his mistakes, he turns up the air conditioning and locks the doors.
Hi Pincher
There's two different tariffs. Our Age UK tariff is separate from the E.ON Energy Fixed 2 year (version 6) product. Only the Age UK has age restrictions. The latter is widely available but, unlike Age UK, does have exit fees. These fees (£10 per fuel) only apply if changing supplier and not for going on to another of our tariffs. There's more details on our website.
Hope this explains.
Malc“Official Company Representative
I am an official company representative of E.ON. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -

Yes, it does.
I was looking for a non-Age UK 2 year fix, but couldn't find it. Now that you say it exists, I paged down further, and found
Fixed 2 Year v6 Online at £1,142,
which is £55 more than
Age UK Fixed 2 Year v5 Online at £1,087
This is the first time that I have seen a Age UK tariff that is actually cheaper. it used to be that the Age UK version was more or less the same price, but you get a free light bulb.0
