I'm sure you do. What do you get that tells you that your policy is due for renewal? All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.0 -
A renewal notice doesn't necessarily come physically through the post - it could be by email too.0

I think this out dated system needs to be bought into the 21st century. Why is it if you have not made a claim for years just not factored into the price why do they need proof of no claims i have not claimed as i have not declared any claims simple. So if i have claimed for example as the question asks did your insurer recover cost yes or no again factor this in. I know that they already do this with the quote price but my point is ah look old joe made a claim in 2014 so he has only been claim free for a year job done. Along comes bob wonderful driver not had a claim in his driving history happy days. No claims discount paper proof is out dated and a waste of admin time.0

You'd better start telling all the people that have paid for NCD protection that they can't have it any more....All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.0 -
I change insurers most years and this year LV asked for proof of NCD, renewal notice was sent and accepted.
Previous company was Morethan who only said they would need to see proof in the event of a claim.
Hence the NCD accepted by LV is effectively based on what I told Morethan when i signed up with them.
Is anyone ever likely to ask for historical proof? It is all genuine and proper, but I have an ever growing stack of renewal notices in case they are ever required.0 -

I doubt that is true but were it true then your broker/ insurer is acting illegally as they are required to send you a notice by law. If you have a broker thats willing to act illegally on this then they are probably more likely to be willing to act illegally on the proposed standardised NCD proof thats been suggested.A renewal notice doesn't necessarily come physically through the post - it could be by email too
The whole thing can be done electronically these days, hence how I have my docs on my computer because they came electronically and indeed the proof of NCD was submitted electronically to my next insurers.
No one is saying it has to be a physical thing0 -

That was the implication of londonTiger's post.
Your quoted line above was unnecessary in your otherwise useful post.0 -

One interpretation of the original post could be that it implied that the fact it was electronic meant that it wasnt fit for purpose. My point of quoting on it was the fact that it doesnt matter if its electronic or physical it can still be used as evidence.0 -
By quoting my post (badly - you missed the
) and then saying "No one is saying it has to be a physical thing", all I can assume is that you were trying to belittle my contribution.
If you weren't, the "No one is saying it has to be a physical thing" line was unnecessary.0
