Santander removed my student overdraft?

Hope i'm posting in the right place please advise if not...
Basically I opened a student account with Santander at the end of 2013, had an overdraft of £250. Haven't really used this account since last summer, but I received a letter stating I needed to pay into the account or they'd cancel my overdraft...I called them and paid £20 into my account.
I moved house in September and gave them my new address, I continued to pay at regular intervals payments into my account of £20 as I was intending of gradually paying it off and shutting down.
I have just returned to my mums house to find Santander had been calling (this is the number I gave when I was living here over summer) so I called them today, they told me my account is now at -£350 (it was at around -£160 last time I checked at the start of January).
Their collections department is shut until the morning and she couldn't tell me any details but I'm very worried about this, I'm wondering if they'd been sending letters to my old address even though I told them my new address when I moved as this is the first I heard of this. Hope this all makes sense. What can I do?

A condition to keep the overdraft is to pay in at least £500 a term.0 -
Do you have internet banking to see your account and look at what's going on. Or go to a cashpoint and get a mini statement so you can see what has happened to send your funds dropping by £190. Unfortunately the bank are within their rights to withdraw an OD facility. It normally states in the T&C's that they are payable on demand, or wording to that effect.
If it's with collections you will have to speak to those to arrange your next steps or do you have a family member that can loan you the money to pay it off?
Try not to worry, there is nothing that can be achieved by worrying when the dept you need to speak to is closed for the weekend. I know this is easier said than done.

Thank you for your replies. I have abit of money in my savings, just if I'd known I would have just paid it all off straight away and closed the account to avoid any charges
will have to wait to see what they say then I guess
