I had a similar problem with Carphone Warehouse, on the same day I give my card details to them over the phone, I get £80 worth of T-Mobile topups on my card!
I don't have a T-Mobile account, however reported as fraud, filled in a form and that was the last I heard.
Wouldn't it be nice if you actually found out what happened?0 -
My Dad bought a TV from Digital Direct a couple of weeks ago, and we have just had a phone call from Lloyds saying his card was attempted to be used on a gambling website (£2000) and to buy some traveller's cheques for £800. There was also a couple of attempted purchases for smaller amounts. It is now in the hands of the bank who are dealing with it. I also bought a PS3 from them around the same time so will be checking my account carefully. I would NOT recommend ANYONE to buy from them. Too many co-incidences of fraud reported from people after using this company.0

I have today been looking to buy a new TV online and have found this thread after looking into the company Digital Direct.
Roughly 1 year ago, me and a friend had bought a house together and wanted to buy 2 new TVs. I needed one for my bedroom and we needed a larger TV for our main living room. Anyway, we found 2 TVs we were happy with and the best prices we found were on the Digital Direct website, so we placed the order.
I bought one of the TVs on my bank card and my friend bought the other on his. We made the purchases one night within minutes of each other. Mine was a brand new, never been used card and his was an old card that had never previously been used online. The TV's arrived quickly and we have had no problems with them. However, within a week or 2, both of the cards we used had been used fraudulently abroad.
I'm 100% certain that the cards security was compromised by Digital Direct. I shop online all the time using various other bank / credit cards, and none of the other have ever been victims of fraud.
It's a shame, because again, Digital Direct seems to have the best prices for TV's, but obviously I would never shop there again and would actively discourage anyone I know from buying from them either.0 -
You'd think the fraud could be traced back to this company, I'm surprised they are still trading.0
