Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ~ WOO HOO what a ride!

Sounds like someone at DD is selling your details rather just using them to gamble but the strangest part is it only seems to MBNA customers so maybe someone from DD and MBNA are working together!
I have a BT credit card run by MBNA and I've only used it for balance transfers from my Barclaycard and if this is the way they work then I may only use them for that.
Always looking for a bargain and to help

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. I used a citibank credit card in which they contacted me a with suspicious purchase. Then was also caught up with spam emails wanting bank details!

Strangely enough if you google this company and look for reviews:

    http://reviews.pricegrabber.co.uk/digitaldirectcouk/r/1771/

they appear to have lots of 5* ratings, but strangely enough, they all seem to have registered within a few days or weeks of each other, and some of them use the same capital letters, all have a similar style of writing.

Blatantly written by someone from the company to boost their rating!!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Their website says they are imrg approved-but they are not shown on the imrg website as a\member.Perhaps you could email imrg and clarify this.

I've never bought from the company, but the lovely Karen Smith spams me on a weekly basis with "Your Digital Direct Offers"

I have unsubscribed more than once but they never stop, so TBH, it comes as no surprise to read that they are selling CC details
 I have a poll / discussion on Economy 7 / 10 off-peak usage (as a % or total) and ways to improve it but I'm not allowed to link to it so have a look on the gas/elec forum if you would like to vote or discuss.

  • I would just like to say 'for the record', that Digital Direct UK do NOT engage in any fraudulent activities or sell email addresses or are we in collusion with any other third parties that may do so.
I would also like to thank 'Denise' who has added sensible comments to this debate. :A
