Sainsburys do them for £2 as well - although I got mine there on offer for 50p - wasn't sure I would use it but it's great.“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

If you're eating a lot of salad, I'd buy one....
At £2 I think I'll give it a go - and it means I can have a mooch in Ikea in my lunch hour.
I've only got £2.50 in my purse and I'll force myself to leave my debit card at work so I should be safe in there :eek:0 -
This reminds me of when I was about 11 or 12, I bought one for my mum as a birthday present, she didn't look too impressed with it and I don't think I ever saw her use it :rotfl: I'd chuck it at my DD if she bought me one for my birthday lol!!
They are a good idea in principle but I think stick a plate over the top of a colender (sp?) and it does the same thing personally.DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -

I use my salad spinner to wash lettuce and it is brilliant. When my last one gave up the ghost I replaced it with a brand new one, still in its box, from a charity shop for £1.
Cleaning it is not a big prob, I rinse it under the tap till the bits of green go and let it drain. No big hardship.0 -
I like my salad spinner and it doesn't take up too much space if you stack your colander etc. Its a useful thing I think, not like the electric steamer I acquired some years ago and never got the hang of!Weight 08 February 86kg0

I don't have a salad spinner, but after washing the leaves, I put them in the middle of a clean tea towel, gather up the corners, stand outside the back door and whizz the tea towel round as fast as I can - works for me!0
