Some of these stories remind me of the old song by I Ludicrous ("Preposterous Tales"). The tall tales start about 30 seconds in and I've know people who made claims just like them! I find this song funnier each time I listen to it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGDKTTNXH2w
