ha ha, those little white lies that are obvious! I have been guilty at times! My favourite is to say that I have to leave a party early because I don't want to leave my kids home alone late when the real reason is that I am absolutely knackered and need my bed at 10pm at the latest, but if I say so, I get the look followed by the 'don't be silly, you'll be fine, come and dance with us that will wake you up etc...' and then not taking no as an answer and finally little comments about being a party pooper!0

Mmmm, I know someone who tells you what they want to do one minute & the next minute they've done it, when it's just not possible. It's a shame as they're lovely, but it tends to put me off them as I never believe a word they say now. Maybe it's because they think that they're not good enough so they invent a different lifestyle for themselves to make them feel better, & to fit in with other people. You could say something as there can't really be a trusting friendship there with the lies, but then if you do say something it could upset them. I'd just say that it's me you're talking to now & I know you ....0

A friend of mine told me her dad invented pacman (guess what her surname was? :rotfl:)
I was about 20 at the time and still believed her!0
