I crave emotional security if anything. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Why would anyone fancy Christian Grey when there are Brian Blesseds in this world? I fancy big fat hairy men who are intelligent with a great sense of humour. Money would be a nice extra, but not a necessity, and i couldn't be with someone i didn't love.0

I don't know the film or the book so can't comment at all.
I have a particular 'look' I like, and it's not really around wealth etc, it's more the 'look'.
From the male perspective, predictably I suppose, so do I. Wealth has never been a consideration.
I must admit that I has sometimes bothered me that I must be very shallow, particularly when I see other couples where looks must have been way down on the male's subconscious list of relationship must haves.0 -
I dunno about that. No amount of success Jeremy Clarkson gets would tempt me into a relationship with him. If he was the last man on the earth my 'lady bits' would shrivel up from lack of use.
Not every successful man is attractive... But I think being a hard worker is certainly attractive0 -

I don't thin it's wealth=attractiveness, at least not for most women. I think it's hard worker and determined that equals attractiveness. Also, and this may be controversial, but I think that women do certainly feel very attracted to a man they don't feel they have to look after, in any sense. It may not be PC, but frankly having to look after a man, in any way, is a bit of a mothering job (don't judge, my husband is not wealthy). I think any man that needs absolutely nothing from you other than you becomes automatically a bit sexier, because you feel freer. You don't have to be the mother, the carer, the housekeeper, you're just there because he wants you. What's sexier than that?0

I can't imagine wanting a woman in my life for anything other than just her. I can manage all the other aspects of living entirely adequately on my own!I think any man that needs absolutely nothing from you other than you becomes automatically a bit sexier, because you feel freer. Absolutely the last thing I'd want is for someone to mother me :eek:Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230 -
It depends on where the wealth comes from. Family money? Not so attractive. Self-made man? Oh yeah.
There's definitely something appealing about someone who's worked hard for their money, managed to hold onto it thus far and who is going places. I'd find it a real turn off if a guy had poor money management skills and no ambition.
I am an accountant though, so basic financial sense is a deal-breaker.0
