Wealth = attractiveness?

Money surely always is a factor in attractiveness, but for me if you gave me two men who were exactly the same, one earned average income but he was a sensible spender, the other earned average income but he had incredible amounts of debt, I'd go for the sensible one. However, same situation and add in some wrinkled old sugar daddy, I'd still go for the average sensible one.

I don't think I'd be able to control my gag reflex with Peter Stringfellow, or Hugh Hefner and the like.

    Success is attractive.

Someone that has never worked or done anything worthy but won the lottery, not so much.

When replying to the question many women seem to mix up the topics . You not being attracted to older not good looking millionaires does not mean you are not attracted to wealth. It means your attraction to wealth has limits :D
The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.

I don't think it's wealth per se that's the attraction but the general underlying values of a wealthy person - positive attitude, drive to succeed, hard work ethic etc.

I can understand someone being attracted to those kind of attributes. Being attracted purely to someones bank balance is a bit shallow (although it obviously happens).

Surprising the amount of people who say it isn't a factor yet it seems to be a factor.

For example if I had a pound for every girl that said I was unattractive, eventually they'd find me attractive.

Case in point reporter to lanky goal post Peter Crouch married to a top model: "What would you be if you weren't a top flight footballer?"

    Peter: "A virgin"

I like Peter, the best example is Ed Sheeran.

When I met oh he didn't have a bean, in fact he had debts, courtesy of his ex wife, but I didn't care, I fell for him, not his wallet.

Bingo! Same here. Ex-wife's debts ended up being the last straw in the relationship and she left with a large amount, but left him with a good few thousand to pay off (none of which were his) and the address blacklisted.

He's still paying off the debts and has no money to spare whatsoever at the end of the month, but that isn't something that would put me off. I have actually been in a relationship with someone whose salary was well into six figures and I learned that their outlook on life and behaviour towards others was ridiculous. I'd go as far as to say disgusting. People said I was only with them for the money - if that was the case I'd still be there!

I think it all comes down to the individual and what they actually want out of a relationship. If you want true love and money and find someone who can provide both then great! I'm very happy with the love part alone. :)

I don't know the film or the book so can't comment at all.

I have a particular 'look' I like, and it's not really around wealth etc, it's more the 'look'. Shallow yes, but I do totally go for a particular guy.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

I dunno about that. No amount of success Jeremy Clarkson gets would tempt me into a relationship with him. If he was the last man on the earth my 'lady bits' would shrivel up from lack of use.
