How does a gagging order work?

I am just making an educated guess here. A 'Gagging Order' is when a Court tells you not to disclose something or other. For example not to repeat a libel.

In most cases (and I suspect here), the requirement to keep schtumm is a condition of a settlement and no part of a Court Order.

I think :Ais waiting to read the small print!

As a jet2 complainer awaiting a court date a pm would be graciously received in confidence.

I would urge anybody that is in dispute with Jet2 to follow the directions of the Judge, in my case it was to try and reach an amicable settlement before my case was due to be heard in June.

That's all I can advise others to do.

    Cheers,

You could be a Jet2 stooge for all we know, waiting to trip him up and take away his award ...

But seriously, what else do you need to know? The thrust of the Angel's post is clear enough.

Personally, I wouldn't agree to any confidentiality clause in a settlement. If I claim for something that it a statutory right, I don't wish to be obligated not to discuss it with whomsoever I like.

Yes I could be a jet2 stooge. But I have been here forever.

I doubt very much if you would turn down an offer of settlement because of your principles.
Anyway i thought you had already settled your claim ??

I wondered what jet2 were actually saying in their update to na.

Thanks for your advice and if, as it seems to appear, you have been successful with our friends at Jet2 (but can't actually say as much), then congratulations!:shhh:

    Wow how time flies!

Is it really 21 days already ?

I'm not sure they will appeal I did predict 99.999% certain that they would now I'm 50/50 as I read they are starting to settle some cases, this is a U-turn so just perhaps they are learning some lessons.....
