Although (and this shows how my brain works) for a moment I thought CBT was c*ck based torture and I was going...ummmm

Cognative behavioural therapy on the other hand will be very helpful for you! :)

I know you rub buddhas belly and do incantations....now I want you to add looking in the mirror and doing incantations about yourself..."I am a good person" "People like me" "today I succeeded in..." etc

I understand feeling like a failure, but just look back over the last couple of pages and look at all the things you have succeeded in :)

    Love you munchkin,

    Ruth

Hi Levi,I am de lurking just to remind you it is the black dog giving you the bad thoughts. From what I can see you are a fantastic dad and have a lovely happy and healthy son so you are getting that right. You have a good job and are sorting your debts so a lot better off than a lot of people.Hope the doctor can tweak your meds to help a little with your mood. Please let us know how the CBT goes.

Levi - I think you'd be surprised how many people feel the very same way as you. It even has a name 'imposter syndrome' people feel not good enough, waiting for others to find out just how rubbish they are. And you know what? It happens to affect the most intelligent, capable people. Not the inept over confident types.
So the fact you feel that way is testament to your intelligence and sensitivity. Anyway that's my little attempt at cheerleading you. We're all team Levi here. #teamlevi
except i really AM rubbish i assure you :o

You've spent a year fighting an unco-operative company to make reasonable adjustments for a client...would a rubbish person do that?
You've paid off 10% of your debts...would a rubbish person have managed that?
You've successfully claimed missold PPI and helped others do the same...is that the work of a rubbish person?
You took in your son at a time of turmoil in his life, became a single Dad and have supported him so he has settled into a happy LL...would a rubbish person have done that?
You deal with the pressures of being a single Dad and a stressful job while mentally ill...is that something a rubbish person does?
You sourced and bought a sunflower set when your son wanted to grow one and planted it with him...does that sound like something a rubbish person does?

I have to say, if rubbish people do all these things with as much care and forethought and love as you then I wish there were more rubbish people in the world!
