Awesome find Levi, and as everyone else said, you were meant to find it. :)

Loving the list too, I've just finished mine for the day (insert smug smiley here:)) and I have to say it's really helping with the motivation to get things done.

Right Levi...my long post now...and I can use smilies as I'm posting from my parents computer rather than my phone:beer:

First off, a big giant well done! I mean If I could pat you on the back it would be so hard that you'd fall over (I'm not a bully or anything, just want you to see how giant a well done it is). You have done amazingly! Look at all that you have acomplished just in the space of this diary! :T:T:T:T:T:T:T

Secondly; Potatoes. Did you sort out your potato problem? You do know that if you don't have a potato big enough for a jacket in your normal bag you could always have 2 smaller jackets right? Also was that lot of potatoes just for one week? Because if so you're eating 1kg of potatoes a day?!?!?! Also, do you know that you can make your own oven chips? There are many ways to do it, some people tell you to parboil (who can be faffed!), my Mum pre-fries them (shallow frying in frying pan) before putting in the oven, I just chop, spritx with oil and in they go!

Thirdly; lack of motivation, I get that big time, right there with ya mate, you've done the big things and it's down to the grind of the day. well I think you need a sticker chart......I do the 1% at a time thing (but don't do the actual challenge/follow the thread) and I love the charts that I've printed off, and it's a real boost each time I get to colour in a square! If you feel your whole debt is too overwhelming to do that (I feel that way with mine) then pick the debt you are focusing most energy on/want gone first and do the chart with that ;) That's what I do and it really helps me feel better and more motivated :money:

Fourthly, you are doing so well with LL (I genuinely thought it stood for Little Levi to start with lol), it looks like you have the bed issue sorted now, but if it reappears, my sister (when she was trying to get her kids to stop sleeping in her bed at similar/a bit older than LL) discovered by accident when staying at mine that when their beds were in the same room as her they didn't get into bed with us (yeah, 4 people in a 1 bed flat was fun!), so when she got home she put their air beds in her room and told them to sleep in them rather than her bed...and it worked! They got the reassurance of Mummy being near and she didn't have to share her bed.
Feeding LL, you are providing him with an array of nutritious meals, try not to worry too much on the days he refuses them....I'm sure you did the same as a kid!

Fifthly; I am a fellow mental health sufferer and anxiety is one of my symptoms (I'm currently in a 'manic-type' phase hence the long rambly posts and actually posting!) so I getcha on that. You are managing it amazingly well :T. Try to remember on the low days that even when you can't love yourself other people love you and on those days they are doing the loving you for you :kisses2:

You're amazing, you truely are :j

  • P.S. Glade air refill thingy.....have you tried ebay? I did a quick googly and tbh I'm not sure what they cost in the shops, but it looks like if you buy a few at a time you can save money ;)

Thanks Ruth for the post!:) It was good to hear more from you & thanks so much for your kind and supportive words:o Sorry to hear about your battles with mental health issues too...it is a tough one but at the same time, I believe something that those kind of difficulties provide great insight in to oneself that you may otherwise not get a chance to experience, so in some ways, a mixed blessing. I work with people with various physical and mental disabilities all across the board and find that every kind of suffering brings some kind of silver lining even if only in the perspective of the individual involved so that is always inspiring and in turn helps me fight my own good fight :D

We had a dinosaur shaped 'colour square' charty thing on the fridge which is supposed to mark in debt progress but LL ended up colouring it all in prematurely so I would love a new 'visual aid' starry charty thing :D I might go and look in thr £1 shop or something and try and adapt a kids one to my debt progress somehow :D Another motivating thing is the sig on here and Greyfox et al helping to work out my total percentages. I think I'll have a big party when I hit 50%!! :money::j

Heh.. LL's name is Luca but our last name begins with L too.. so we're both a pair of LL's really (my nick name at school was Cool-J...) He's a lot better with the sleeping.. and have a few techniques that have smoothed the process out, like letting him have the dog in with him.. and having his door ajar which is diagonally across from mine so he can basically see into my room from the angle of his bed. It's working out and with a few tweaks such as a superhero duvet cover and letting him decide where stuff goes and a sense of independence, he is really starting to like it and sleeps there 90% of the time - all the way through.:A

Anyway sorry for the jibber-jabber but it took my mind off watching The Real Housewives of Orange County, eating cheese & onion budget crisps and questioning what my life has become on a Monday night :rotfl:
 Thanks again for your kindness- people on here are amazing at propping me up and being the special secret family I can tell everything to:o
Ooh and regarding the glade discreet refills.. yeah they do seem cheaper in bulk but I can't afford to buy that many.. I generally wait for the £2 offer which Asda currently has, or 2 for £5 sometimes... OR SOMETIMES you can get a whole new holder with a refil for £2.80... holy hell I get too excited then.. I am this tragic that air fresheners excite me now
    :rotfl::cool:
PS: Ps remember ALL ABOUT THAT BASS..Luca has now discovered Dear Future Husband oh dear lord save us.. I have made sure this time I get the edited version  :p

Potatoes! How could I forget that part?
We don't eat that many potatoes no lol.. they keep quite well and probably use that many in a month. No potatoes dramas currently! Managing to navigate the jacket potato sizing and making home made chips quite well at present :D And quite often lately we skip the potato option on a meal and keep it lighter. :)

  • If you have a printer you can print off a 100 squares sheet-linkys are on the first page of the 1% thread. My one has a cheeky monkey on it :-D

Yeah, potatoes do keep well, I hoped it was a few weeks worth! Making your own oven chips is awesome, the pennies you save not buying frozen ones soon add up! Not sure if there's still the demotivational calculator on here to work out how much you'd save a year by not doing it.

My mental health struggles have been around my whole life and are what inspired me to work with special needs/severly autistic kids. Unfortunately having been fired due to sickness I don't think I want to work in that field again :-( but my new project is the local foodbank...all the fun of retail work without the annoying customers!

Are you making pizza from scratch yet?

Thrilled to hear that LL is doing so well at hsleeping in his own bed, well done him and well done you! gold stars to you both!

Anyhoo, I hope you are in lullaby land so...

I love you, we all do!
Hope you have a great day at work! :-D
