SW maybe you could make a business around decluttering people's houses? 3Dogs can be your first reviewer on Yelp :rotfl:0

Yep Maiden Mum that's my job. I love it but it is getting harder and harder. I do love it though.
I went to 3dogs' armed with industrial cleaning gloves and had last nights pyjamas in my handbag. I took off my nice top and jeans so I wouldn't get bleach on them and pulled out the pjs to wear whilst cleaning and out fell yesterdays knickers. Everyone fell about laughing. Steve was threatening to 'out me' at the meal we had when we went out after.
3dogs has mobility problems and her kitchen is gorgeous and really coordinated and trendy. All it needed was a bit of moving around and a bit of bleach. It didn't take long. Everyone kept laughing at my knickers. I love watching 'Obsessive Cleaners' and also 'Hoarding' so it's fun for me. I just throw everything away.
I feel much better. Apologies to the boys as I howled to music in the car on the way back- imagine someone who can't sing with a bad voice trying to be U2, Richard Marx, Queen and Abba etc. I was terrible and the boys looked a bit green by the end of it. They might be having a lie in to recover.
I spent £15 on sandwiches for the gang and also £20 towards 3dogs' huge restaurant bill. OMG it was so much I nearly died. We are taking sarnies next time. Her adopted dogs from Romania are great. They were terribly abused over there basically kept in camps and beaten one of them is so shell shocked and hides from us and they are so quiet and chilled in her house as it is a safe haven for them. I really had a good day.
I had a clever idea. I am switching one of my bank accounts in a few weeks and I will get £125 I am keeping this in the Christmas fund but will use it to pay my insurance in the summer as that always causes cash flow problems in the hols.Aiming for a minimal spend 20221 -
Really looking forward to seeing my dear friend SW tomorrow (later today lol). She is going to show me how it's done and help me declutter and clean my kitchen. My other friends, the 'lads' are getting rid of a large armchair for me and bringing another one up that I bought online from down their way. Plus help me declutter my bedroom. I find it hard to do heavy housework due to my arthritis and sciatica
Actually, I am just really pleased that my three dearest friends will be here tomorrow and I will take them for a meal later tomorrow - after they have done their work that itI do depend on them for so much since I lost my dear husband Mr 3Dogs :A I have family up in the North East where I am from, but these three are my second family :heart2::heart2::heart2:
We love you. Your house is gorgeous. I love it. I'm moving in. have a good day today.
I'm washing clothes and then I will do some marking. I am going to try not to buy any food till 15th. I have lots of bananas and frozen food I can make do with for now.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

I have wiped down the kitchen and done some clothes washing and drying. All put away.
Nothing is on tv that I am really interested in. I am thinking ahead and aloud I have two jobs I want to save for:
1) I must dry clean all my jackets - no idea of cost. I hope dry cleaners have offers soon. I will pay for it next month when I have some money. Iwill see if I can find any offers.
2) I have to get my ivory sofas cleaned they are looking a bit shabby. Steve did buy me some cleaning stuff for them so I might have a go at that next week. If it doesn't work I will have to fork out £65 to the experts.
I am going to rest, sugars are high and it makes me tired. I slept for the rest of the day as I was shattered after yesterday. lol. Nuffink done.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
plan for next week:
Monday
[STRIKE]clean gas cooker
[/STRIKE][STRIKE]unpacked cabinets above the bed[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]do ironing
[/STRIKE]
I spent £2.00 on crisps and sweets.
Tuesday
clean fridge- to do
shopping for food - to do
do marking - to do
I have been invited out next weekend but I have to prioritise I don't want to run up unnecessary debt when I want my dry cleaning to be done or sofas to be cleaned.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Hi savingwannabe
Its hard to get the balance right between saving and having some social life isn't it.
Do you mind if I ask what you drink when you are out ? I find it really difficult to make good choices as most drinks have lots of sugar apart from diet coke etc0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Hello I am finding it hard as i have so many groups of friends. Next week i have to see 3 different groups of people as it is expected in my half term. But it is so expensive as the friends have little in common so i have to see them separately. Nightmare.
When i go out (mostly in day time at weekends) I only drink Diet Coke as alcohol messes with my sugars. It is quite cheap though so I don't mind. :jAiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Jobs for today:
1.[STRIKE] descale kettle
[/STRIKE]2. [STRIKE]clear and clean fridge -[/STRIKE] no matter how much i cut down i still manage to find food to throw away- I am throwing out less than i used to do but i cant believe i am when people are starving.
3. [STRIKE]clean make up brushes
[/STRIKE]
Well I did a fair bit. It was all going so well then my voice went wobbly and throat ached and I realise I am still not cured yet and got upset and went to sleep as I keep thinking I am going to lose my job. Still it is improving and tomorrow is another day etc. Today was a NSD. To keep motivated I am going to write up a list of jobs a bit like the Flylady Thread used to. Sorry that it's boring. It's the only thing keeping me sane at present.
Jobs for Thursday:
1) [STRIKE]food shop, i spent lots £35 including lots of whoopied fruit and veg, and 2 reduced price bunches of roses. Beautiful.
[/STRIKE]2) [STRIKE]clean skirting boards
[/STRIKE]3) [STRIKE]mop
[/STRIKE]4) [STRIKE]enter gas and electric readings[/STRIKE]
5) [STRIKE]tidy away shoes [/STRIKE]- I don't think I can chuck any more shoes away as they cost too much but I can put them into the storage room so the spare bedroom is tidier.
6) [STRIKE]walk- I was caught in shower and am drenched.
7) pick up a prescription - staff at drs and pharmacy cheered me up
[/STRIKE]8) open bank account- cant do till 17th
9) marking- might do laterAiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Well done on working your way through your jobs list savingwannabe. I am trying not to sleep this afternoon and get some tidying done (but am on here instead
)
What sorts of food are you throwing away ? Is it something that could be frozen or made into soup or is it way past its use by date?
If you are going out for lots of meals do you use vouchers ? I find them a godsend when I go out, and I usually ask for tap water as its free :cool:0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
