  • What a shame about LaLa Land, after all those Oscar nominations, but I've heard a few other people say it's a bit overhyped/over rated.

I really want to see Hidden Figures, which is about the black women who worked for the NASA space programme. Not sure we'll get to the cinema any time soon though it may have to be a DVD treat in a few month's time!

Hello petal. My friends go all the time, I only went as part of birthday celebrations I really can't afford it. I think of all the films I have seen at the pictures Star Trek The Motion Picture my first film at the pictures and Pretty Woman were the best. I would love to have seen Jaws at the cinema but i was too young and really most have not appealed to me. I dread to think how much I have spent over the years. lol.

I have spent today in bed really as shattered from yesterday. I can't believe what a wimp I am now. :rotfl: My parents are coming so hopefully I will snap out of it. I really need to be back at work. I have been off for 3 weeks now and feel so guilty. My voice is better I am talking albeit v squeakily and quietly and the pain is not so bad. My ears still hurt on and off.

I just want payday to happen. Once my credit card is paid I will be so happy and start the rest of the year with a clean slate.

Something amazing has happened with my Marks and Spencer credit card - they have sent me £30 of vouchers. I am so chuffed. I spend much more on my old credit card but they never reward me. I know which card I will be using from now on.

I went for a short walk to the post office to post a fleabay sale. So far I have raised £3.99, it is a bit embarrassing but hey it's money. My credit card bill for February 31st is £80 so far. I will keep my spending down as I am not eating out from now on.

My parents have come to visit me they can hardly hear me. I have another doctors note and it looks like I might be off for some time. I am going to work on staying happy and healthy.

I have just signed the petition again Dunald Troooomp coming to the UK. We can't stand by and watch him spreading hate. I hope other people can find it and sign it too.

  • I'm with you savingwannabe — signed the petition. What an evil, divisive troll that Donald Trump is.

I've got an M&S credit card too..I don't use it that often but still manage to get £5-10 sent to me every so often which I'll always use to treat ourselves to some M&S food!

  • Sorry to hear you're still poorly :( But getting signed off for a bit longer means you'll be healthier on your return and hopefully full of energy!

I don't really go to the cinema either due to the expense. Better to wait and see when the DVD shows up in Tesco, then you can at least get Clubcard points for it ;)

Hello VH and boboski, mum and dad are visiting. I am being looked after talk about utterly spoilt. My voice is better than yesterday as I can whisper. My blood sugars are back on track today and I can afford to get nice food again as credit card bill is covered. I will never run up such a high bill again as it meant I had to do without nice food and that's dreadful. Today we moved furniture round in downstairs lounge and it looks huge now I have repositioned the sofas. Good news, I finally finished sewing my jeans.I am the world's slowest I just have a bit of filing to do over the next few days. I sent all my work in for this week.

I have parcelled a fleabay sale and arranged some banking. We are going for a walk later. I might visit the poundshop. It is so good that dad has a car as we can do so much. I cant do much by public transport as it is so expensive here. Only students and retirees use it and they all have bus passes. I bought a really pretty gilet at a cheap price. Total spend today £10.

Trump is terrifying. I keep thinking what's on the news is like a film but it's not it is really happening. Scary times. With regard to M&S I'm gobsmacked at how much I earned. Such a lovely surprise. So far I have earned £55 of vouchers and I have only been with them for 4 months and the majority of my spending was done on my other credit card which I am going to stop using now. :j Yay for MSE.

I paid off a huge credit card bill from Christmas holiday and I saved £250 last month and I have had to borrow £50 from the Christmas fund to pay for essentials this month. All food shopping is going on my credit card.

No more smarties, no fleabay, no going out at all. At least I had practice last month. NSDs here I come. lol.:rotfl:

Today I sorted out all my financial paperwork, cooked a roast tidied house and entertained one of my dear friends. A good day and a NSD.
