Aww. My dad has been over this afternoon. I had 2 missed calls on Friday so suspected something was amiss but when I called him back he said not. But today he said he called to say my aunt had died, but when he knew I was out he didn't want to upset me :A so a funeral to attend next Friday:( he said if I can't go not to worry as its around school run time but would I take the kiddies over after - they are doing a funeral tea at 4.30 I've not seen his family for ages so I think we'll go. Really need to not tell my mum where as she has been known to turn up to these things
Oh, I've just worked it out she must have died on his birthday
School and work stuff sorted, ironing done and kiddies are in the land of nod. I've written on my weekly planner the whys and wherefores of this week. Just need to dry my hair and I might nod too!Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
sorry to hear of another bossy-loss.. XxX
I have rage.
This mediation $h!t£ tomorrow.. it is KH trying to control me again isn't it? Threatening me and trying to have control over me and my actions and my life.. I know I'm a bit neurotic but am I wrong? This is what mediation is about isn't it? who can be the most intimidating and threaten/scare the other into bending to their demands whether reasonable or not. That was my experience last time and KH didn't keep to a single thing we had agreed either.. why would he do so this time? what would the difference be?
I have rage.. pure seething going-to-keep-me-up-all-night rage .... *sigh* Why is the karma bus taking so long?!?!?!?!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Managed to get the bathrooms and ds1s bedroom done today. Also cleared the cupboard under the sink but didn't manage the towel cupboard or cleaning the windows (it was raining anyway!)
We also spent a long time doing homework. Ds1 is in year one and we had reading, two lots of homework and spelling. He also did some extra research over the holidays so had to write that up. Ds said 'why did we leave this until today?'. I had to ask myself who was the parent out of the two of us. I hate doing homework in the middle of the week as we were having such fun with all the activities. I knew it would get done in the end!
Hubby also did an hour of ironing so the basket is still full but not falling off the top of the pile!:rotfl:
See you all on the next thread although probably won't get much flying done until Wednesday as working Monday and Tuesday and out tomorrow night coaching!Grocery challenge-

A reasonable weekend although I'm sure I could have done more.
- lots of pruning and weeding done by me and Mr N
- ex-horse visited and he looks happy
- general dailies kept up with
- thrown away a fair bit more stuff from office. Why was I keeping my mental health/psychology notes from 1992 exactly????? One marathon effort tomorrow and floor will be clear, new rug down (has been piled on floor with other piles for months) and hopefully all filing trays rationalised (currently one single one full up; a triple one almost empty; a 4-tier one empty plus various storage trays in........various states).
- latest report making progress.
Can't remember what else; went to church, had friends round.
Mr N goes back to work tomorrow for the first time since Dec 9th.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Well I'm sorry to say that I don't! Unless I'm really thanking someone for something specific and then I usually post anyway.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

The Thanks button isn't there unless you're logged in. I Thank pretty much every post and I know quite a lot of other people do, but not everyone does. I do it so that I can see exactly where I've read up to, and also because everyone who contributes to the thread makes it a place I enjoy being.
OH loved Into the Woods, I loathed it and couldn't wait to get out of the cinema. If I'd been on the end of the row I'd have left after the first five minutes. The lamb curry was great and that's the first time we've come home to a hot meal and I really liked that; OH cooked the rice while I walked Mrs Dog, who is not brilliant but not as bad as she might be.Better is good enough.0 -
Hi, i'm back, been absent for a few days, and goodness can't I tell, my house is a tip!
I just don't seem to have had 2 minutes to sit down, hardly spent any time with the boys this half term, done no decorating, just been work, work and more work!
However, DS2 did have his dance presentation evening on Friday, 3 hrs charity bag packing and an extra lesson on sunday.
DS1 had wall climbing Saturday, we did drop them off at Waterworld after (got a 2 4 1 ticket from pg tips), first time on their own, as they hadn't spent much time together either, and needed their brotherly quality time
Teacher training tomorrow, so boys off school and DD not at work, so we are having a family day together, window shopping and a nice family lunch out, so really looking forward to that.
Have ordered carpet to be fitted in DS1's room on Thursday so have to finish that off Monday/Tuesday.
Haven't had time to read through thread as so hope everyone is ok, and I will catch up with you all over next week.
Off to bed now i'm shattered.Loving life to the full, just need purse full too

I've not forgotten you all.
Everything today is just taking longer than planned, just listed 3 things on ebay, the rest is being taken to CS or given to a friend I've decided. Need to add the photos tomorrow, cba today.
My mother is really really down now, she is ringing the doctor again tomorrow and I am going to contact a support group and see if they can offer any help. It is so wearing and a lot of it is self pitying but we are now at the I hope I don't wake up tomorrow stage.
I'll sort the list out next and then I really have to go to bed.
Oh and I'm sorry I don't thank every post, sometimes I do just depends on nothing at all really. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
