Morning all

Very frosty and bright here this morning.

Plan for today is mainly paperwork and hand sewing which may result in a little decluttering. Just having a cuppa to get me going, feel a bit stiff and headachy this morning.

Just got an email from £bay offering me 50% of final fees so todya will be the day I get those pesky items listed.

Morning everyone - RANT ALERT -well the man came to pick up the damaged item - but no-one delivered the replacement though tracking check at 5 pm said they had at 8.35! So I rang and the firm had a different time for the delivery than on tracking (16.10) - We had been in all day - up at 6am. They "cannot do anything about it until they have interviewed the driver today"!! Needless to say I am not best pleased.
Today I have decluttered to cs bag my summer coat and a beautiful precis petite black jacket that I think I've only worn once - oh well - they wrap round me so I am pleased about that. Don't think they'll be replaced until I get to what will be my final weight. need to have some things altered for summer or I'll be going round in my nightie LOL!!
Just having breakfast thenn I'm going in the kitchen cupboards.
Trying to knit 2 chicks a day for c shop -there are 9 atm as I am also knitting scarves to use up donated wool - not enough for anything else.
Hope to get to the shops later today but depends on when we get a phone call re the delivery!! or rather non-delivery.

ETA - I am not actually going in the kitchen cupboards - don't think I'd get out again!!!

Morning everyone

Well done EM on the loft clearance. My decluttering mission has ground to a halt for now.

Oh and jttou its so annoying. We had similar problems last time we had a piece of furniture delivered. I just dont think these people understand how frustrating it is to wait at home all day then not have something turn up. I hope you get it sorted.

DS2 was coughing all night. Literally. I dont think I have ever heard anyone cough so much so none of us have had much sleep. He just seems to pick up every bug going poor kid.

I need to look at DHs accounts today. He needs some gentle persuasion to get out there and earn a bit more money and we had a long chat about this yesterday. Its not easy when you are self employed but I dont think DS1 will be awarded PIP and our finances are going to get really tight this year.

Sun is shining here but its a dreadful forecast - even snow! Have a good Sunday everyone.

Oh and homemade cough remedies are welcome if anyone has suggestions.

Morning all
Got to go in the attic and look for acrylic paints why DS2 has left it till the last day of the holiday to tell me be needs to paint a picture is beyond me and beyond annoying! Think his sister DS2 left her art stuff here, so need to go for a rummage.
Will se if I can find anything to fling while in up there but not. Feeling quite ready to bring it all down like you did elastic there is just too much up there! Think 35 years and 5 kids worth!

Ds2 just had a massive meltdown. He is refusing to wear new shoes or trainers. Not sure how he will go to school.

YL I told the grandma story to DH and he said well you are 50 soon!

Hi all

Not been around for a couple of days. I appear to have had a social life. I'm afraid to say it did involve a mini dress and a karaoke rendition of "it's raining men" at one point :eek: it most certainly is not raining men. Lol

Needless to say this has helped neither housework nor diet but I think I've mitigated the losses in both with lots of soft drinks in between beer and the odd S&S here and there. Bonus of the former is no hangover but I am rather tired now.

This morning I've cleaned the upstairs sinks and loos, tidied my bedroom and floordrobe, stripped and remade my bed, got WM going with bedding in and emptied DW. I'm now laying on the sofa to make the most of the peace before the littlies come home.

We are having steak and veg for dinner and I have a bit of ironing to do later then it's just getting school and work stuff ready. DDs room is s mess she can do that too

I've no social events planned now, lol. Back on the wagon for me. Also hospital has moved my outpatient thingy next week from Wed to Fri and I don't know whether to cancel my day off or keep it...
