So what do you call the notification on the bills if not an "announcement"?

They cover themselves by saying "subject to availability"

It's spurious, as that tariff name does not so far exist.

    This is an announcement:

" At the same time we have announced ..."

  • So far Scottish Power has made the following errors:

1 A b/f balance fails to match the c/f balance on the previous bill

2 Bills include large unexplained credits that make their quoted rates meaningless

    3 Complaint letters completely ignored

4 Continuing to charge me despite switching to OVO last December

5 Given my ostensible debt to an agency called Pastdue Credit Solutions who have sent their first threatening letter.

Is there any point in going to the Ombudsman on this or are there other avenues more likely to get a resolution? (I've read Ombudsman's verdicts are ignored.)
However hard up you are, never accept loans from your friends. Just gifts
  • Hi Folks, sigh, here I go again making a fuss! as told by a Scottish Power operator today when I asked why the payments I made on Friday 13th Feb 2015 (£30 towards gas and £30 towards electric) were showing as paid to Scottish Power (Glasgow) on the 18th Feb were not showing on my online account? "it takes 5 working days to show on your account", ok, it's the 23rd, "give it another 2 working days, or by the end of the week" and then the "fuss" comment, and it's also not showing on her screen either! I asked her to tell me what Ser. Number she had for my new credit gas meter, she came back with the prepayment ser. number???!!! I've now been trying to deal with this since the new meters went in 29th January! Can I speak to a manager? the short answer is NO or only after you manage to get through to Elvis! The online prepayment gas account is now closed but no sign of an online credit gas account, if I were superstitious i'd blame this on making a payment on Friday the 13th, I'm not, so I'm blaming this on very bad customer service.
A totally fed up and more, Barneyboy:(
