    This is old news.

They had 3 months to sort this. Presumably they have complied as the 3 months are up.

That was reported here last November

I was on Online fixed January 2016 and yesterday I asked to move to Online fixed March 2016. It should save me £31

    It's now saying online "
Right now we’re busy behind the scenes making sure your switchover to ScottishPower is underway, it should take up to three weeks to complete. We expect to start your supply on 18th February, 2015."

It sounds like I'm a new customer yet I've been with them since June last year. I'm wondering if I should give them a ring. There have been so many other issues including missing bills which I have spoken to them about on numerous occasions.
  • If I could I would move from SP. I have a particular meter which it appears can only be serviced by SP. Anyway the last two bills have been completely made up, balance from previous bill wrong, payments made, wrong, adjustments made, are just made up, credit/under payment, just can't be trusted. because i have been trying to clarify these bills with repeated calls and e-mails I am now told to contact energy ombudsman as they will not accept that they are wrong and will not even try to explain where they get their figures from. needless to say I have gone to the ombudsman and he is now taking my complaint to SP. Will probably take a further 4-6 weeks to resolve. There IT system is in meltdown.:( meanwhile I don't know what my Direct debit should be, having to take there word for it at present.
  • I am confused with Scottish power. I am on online fixed march 2015. I wanted to move suppliers through the big MSE switch but they told me I would have exit fees!
I saw on the MSE site within 49 days of exit I should not be charged exit fees. Twice SP have insisted I will be charged. I am too late to change with big switch now and they have set up a complaint procedure. I am wondering if anybody can tell me where it says you can change suppliers 49days before end of fixed term, so I can tell them!

Where I live, Scottish Power's new March 2016 tariff is by some way the cheapest available at the moment.

It has no exit fees, and switching to it from a previous Scottish Power tariff incurs no transfer fee even if the old tariff had an exit fee.

So I suggest switching to the new tariff either because it's cheap, or as a holding position while looking around ready to move.

There is nothing to stop you moving if you find a deal that is good enough. You may have to have another meter fitted by another company so that would need to be factored into the price.

I did see the Saver April 2016 tariff at some point, but could never find it again. I suspect it's post code restricted.
