I did see the Saver April 2016 tariff at some point, but could never find it again. I suspect it's post code restricted.

The April 2016 is here. Although its end date is April 2016, it is a very old tariff and it's not available any more - and you wouldn't want it to be as it had much higher prices than the latest SP tariffs.

    You blinked

New cheapest electricity tariff from SP is called Online Fixed Saver April 2016

Other people have already pointed out the April 2016 fix is an old tariff no longer available.

The name is also wrong. This is a company where Online Fixed Price Energy and Fixed Price Energy (Online) and Online Energy Saver are not the same thing, so creating a slightly spurious name is not helpful.

The March 2016 fix was only just created, and the last 4 such new tariffs have appeared approximately mid month, so I'll be looking again on about 15th March.

On uSwitch you can get them to automatically send you an email if a new tariff comes out that would be more than £25pa cheaper than the tariff (you've told them) you're on.

Don't know how well it works, but it sounds useful in case you forget to keep checking.

I distinctly remember seeing the word "Saver" as part of the name, which is not the case of the tariff you are pointing to, from 2014.

I think I was using the Scottish Power website last week, and it flashed up as the cheapest tariff, but then just disappeared.

I am guessing that it is a tariff to be released later, but somebody made a mistake.

They wrote this on my bill dated 16/2/15:

    Could you pay less?
    Our cheapest similar electricity tariff

    Online Fixed Saver April 2016

    Estimated annual saving: £8.39

    Our cheapest overall electricity tariff

    Online Fixed Saver April 2016

    Estimated annual saving: £8.39

Subject to availability. Different terms and conditions may apply.

Can't find it now - maybe it went in a blink as fast as they announced it??

Somewhat academic, as March 2016 is cheaper, any way.

The last 4 cuts have each been less than that, but do add up to more.

You seem to be accusing me of "creating" a "spurious" name for this tariff.

    Your comments are unhelpful.

If you don't like the name, don't blame the messenger.

As posted above, they look to have withdrawn this "Online Fixed Saver April 2016" already (or maybe they announced it prematurely).

Apologies for the previous scepticism. That bill copy does seem to confirm a spurious or transitory existence, but on the other hand no tariff with that name has ever been announced by or exists with Scottish Power or any other supplier.

My bill on the 17th February recommends Online Fixed Price Energy March 2016 for both gas and electricity (which was already in progress by then).
