dinner tonight will be the soya bolognaise that's in the SC - that always makes me feel like the Man of the House - coming in from work to nice dinnery smells.

stefI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Afternoon :hello:
Came home from work a bit early as I am knackered, my boss is on holiday, I had no motivation and was getting s*d-all done, and they've blocked the MSE forums on our network (why this forum is banned while all my other forums -the BBC Radio 3 board and some local community messageboards - are not, is beyond me)
Anyway am now sitting on my sofa with my feet up and all the windows open to freshen up the flat.
Happy birthday Pink, well done PP, hugs to JillD and Hilstep, and hi to everybody else
Probably be back later when I feel like I've got something to say
Love Rzl xx
P.S. - csarina, I don't use the actual smileys much - I generally just type my messages with the code for each smiley, like the big grin is a : followed by a D

Hi everyone,
Penny-Pincher, congratulations on your exam results!
Dlb, have a great holiday.
Juliapenguin, I hope you had a great time with your mum and ds.
Catowen, sorry about your poorly knee.
Hilstep, I hope you feel better soon, I think it’s only natural to feel that way about your ex….as others have said what goes around often comes around.
Nelski, have a great time on yacht!
JillD, try to take it easy and have an early night tonight if you can.
Aussie’s ds, Happy Birthday!
Thank you all so much for your lovely birthday wishes…..they really made my day and after reading all your comments maybe it’s not so bad being 44.
I’ve had a lovely day…
I went back to bed again this morning and woke around 10 to lots of lovely presents. I love Willow Tree figurines and dh got me ‘together’ , ds got me ‘brothers’, dd got me ‘mother and daughter’ and a friend got me ‘grateful’ so I was delighted. I also got a dozen red roses, earrings I’ve wanted for ages, perfume, books and a plastic greenhouse for the garden.
The boys took me to an (expensive) garden centre that I love to look around this morning, but I was a good girl and didn’t buy much! Then home again and Mr Pink made us a lunch of garlic prawns, salad and crusty bread which we ate in the garden. I’ve spent most of this afternoon sitting in the garden with a good book and later dd is going to babysit while Mr Pink and I go out for dinner. It has been such a lovely day and I really do feel that I’ve been spoiled rotten!
As for Old Style...I've been totally lazy and haven't done a sausage!
Right, better go and run my bath, have a good evening everyone.

Evening everyone.
PINK - I'm glad you've been spoiled! Have a great evening.
ANNIEBOOKKLOVER - I have to keep the exercise up - I paid the joining fee and signed for the monthly direct debit!. Seriously, I do enjoy it and it's only three 30 minute sessions a week which, at the moment, I have no trouble fitting in, so I will keep it up.
JILLD - hope you get a decent night's sleep tonight!
METHERER You'll have a lovely weekend and wonder why you were so nervous!
Well, after a lovely start to the day it rained so I had to bring the washing in and use the TD - I thought we'd left those days behind us for a while!
Anyway, off to have my dinner - all leftovers from last night so no prepping!
Will call in later.

Hi All
Bit late, but hope your birthday's been great Pink-Winged! PP - fantastic exam result - good on you!
Sounds like several are in need of ((HUGS)) - please help yourselves to one of mine!
Am feeling a bit fed up as my back has just "gone" again...possibly something to do with helping lift DGD in her pushchair over the footbridge at the station! Just annoying tho' as I was off school nearly five weeks with similar just after Easter. Ought to have learned my lesson... Am sitting with ice strapped around me hoping it'll all snap back soon!Resolution:

Well guess what? had an eventful day with lo today, while at his playscheme he bumped into another child and fell over landing on his arm, yes the one that had just broken over a month ago!
He was crying a lot and he coudnt lift his arm so went to local dr's, waited 2 hours and was told that it was indeed broken again and to go to hospital for xray:eek:
It is broken it 2 places just under his elbow where it broke last time, just needed a cast on though, which was good news, he also got orimorph for the pain and he has to come back in 3 weeks:rolleyes:
I am shattered esp dh as he is working nights.
happy birthday to pink and to aussies ds - hope u have a lovely day:j

Happy birthday Pink, glad to hear you have been spoilt rotten today.
Congrats to PenPincher, what a relief to pass but to pass with such style is fantastic - well done you!!
Life is boring in SnowyOwlVille, so I'll just love you and leave you here.
Bye.

Kyle (((hugs))) for your LO, exactly the same thing happend to my DD when she was 5. Infact we are at the hospital next friday for a check up on her arm, she knows goes yearly as they set it wrong and it slighly at an unusual angle.
Well didnt spend long at the beach as when we arrived the sun went in and didnt come out again, we braved it for an hour or so but by then it was a little chilly. Came home and OH was up so we decided to visit a Garden Nursery a little way away which people raved about - it did sell lovely things but was way too expensive. Had a big fry up for dinner and have spent the last half an hour cleaning the kitchen.
Telly night tonight as Truth Dare Kiss is on which I love and at the same time im sky+ Spendaholics.0 -
evening all,
Happy birthday Pink:bdaycake: and Aussie's DS:bdaycake: Hope that you have both had a lovely day.
Did some shopping this am, got some nice wild salmon in market (€18!), we had it for dinner...to be fair there were five adults and two children, both of whom like fish so good value really, it was delicious baked on top of thinly sliced fennel with just salt and pepper and a drizzle of oil..we had broccoli and lovely new potatoes as well..just yogurt and fruit for pudding.
Oh still 'not feeling well', without further description of symptoms won't go see doctor, so I propose to ignore whinging...is that very mean??
More cuttings planted to-day, looking good for lots later in the year. sowed chicory this year and had some yesterday just stir fried in sesame oil and drizzled with oyster sauce...very nice, just cut at base so hopeful that it will sprout again, peas are cropping well so we have something almost every day from the garden.
DD1 arrived a while ago from Cork, she and DD2 are going to a wedding in Sligo to-morrow so we will have DGD 1 to-morrow, DIL2 is taking her to-morrow evening until Ciara comes back, so tomorrow evening and Saturday will be quiet...can't seem to take the noise and untidiness as I used to, getting old I suppose.
Hugs to all...enjoy your evening,

thanks for the hugs, but I fel guilty as I don;t deserve them, my day wasn't bad just that I was tired
Anyway I did drag myself off the sofa and it did have the result I wanted of making me get stuff done.
I did a load of FLYing (must update that thread next) and some more batch cooking for the freezer for early baby days - quorn caserole 4 nights worth all bagged up and in freezer, and sausage caserole is in slow cooker though its been on high for over 4 hours now and the veggies aren't very soft .... ho hum. Also wrote out some cards and wrapped a few presents.
