Happy Birthday Pinkwinged - have a lovely day

PP - congratulations on the exam results.

Well its lovely here at the moment but not sure what to do as the weather forcast is for rain later, we were heading for the beach, think will get stuff ready for it and if its still nice at 11 then go for it. Will just have to take an umbrella as well.

So plan for this morning is to make a picnic, will have to pop down to local shops for a couple of bits as havnt done a big shop for a while. Will wait till ive paid myself next week then will do a Tesco online shop. Some washing to do and will do a little housework. Need to have a quick look at the fl thread again.

Probably pie and mash for tea.

    Have a great day.

Morning all. Happy Birthday PINK-WINGED and AUSSIELASSOS. :bdaycake: :bdaycake:
Congratulations PENPIN - brilliant results!! Well done!:j :j

AMIE AND PINK-WINGED - 44 is nuffin! I am about five weeks away from my 55th! Mind, I'm still waiting to feel like a grown up! My mum says she still feels in her thirties and she's 77 this year! Still, that's so myuch better than feeling your age, isn't it?

Well, my visitors came yesterday so it was a bit hectic. I'd made the house look lovely and organised which went out of the window once they'd arrived but we had a lovely evening.DS2 and his GF came round as well so we shared a bottle of wine; I was tempted to open another one but everyone was so tired and my guests had to be up early to catch the ferry so we didn't bother, in the end. They left at about 7 this morning and will be boarding as I type. I've whipped all the sheets off and they're in the WM. My nephew loved my HM bread so I ended up making two loaves because he wanted to be sure he could have some for breakfast this morning.

Plan today is to potter - I did everything yesterday morning before they came - well, everything except the vacuuming because I had to wait for BIL to empty the hoover and de-spider it for me! I shall have breakfast in a minute then go to the gym - I missed my Weds session because I was busy yesterday. Dinner will be the rest of the chicken salad and pots from yesterday and I save some of the strawberries for pudding so that will be a really easy dinner because everything is prepared! I have some ironing to do but might leave that till the weekend. I will settle down early this evening with my knitting and watch some of the stuff I've recorded - two episodes of River Cottage, three of Diet Doctors, one Anthea and a film - not all in one evening, though! I'd never stay awake!

Well, off to have some brekkie so catch up with you later. Have a great day, everyone!

By the way, DLB - I loved the present idea of 60 £1 coins - that's brilliant and I hope you don't mind if I pinch it?!

EEEERRRRGGGGG! enough about the sp*ders - you lot fair gave me the creeps last night and I had to pull everything off the bed before I could get in :)

w*rk today and then some bits and bobs for the camping trip - Will get the train tickets tonight to make sure of cheapest price. W*rk is about to get quite interesting - they have started a green commitee and have lots of targets for waste reduction and I'm buzzing with ideas. On the downside though the woman that gave me grief on friday is back in today and I'm not sure how to handle her ... with my usual good grace and perserverance i supppose - failing that I'll just klonk her one and run.

dinner tonight will be the soya bolognaise that's in the SC - that always makes me feel like the Man of the House - coming in from work to nice dinnery smells.

hope you all have as good day especially pinkwinged and any other birthday boys and girls :)
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

It a very cloudy day here. was gorgeous and sunny at 7am tho.

I made a lovely dinner last night. well it was hubby and i really. i made bread rolls in afternoon and he cooked burgers and sausages on bbq.:j kids thought it was fantastic sat out in garden. until a million and 1 flying ants decended upon us. our lawn was moving it was horrible. we were gonna go to beach , but flying ants kinda freak me out.

Anyway Dw waiting to be emptied. WM on and next loads waiting to go on. i've changed our bed so it airing upstairs. will turn matteress in a bit.

done loads of irongin yesterday and small pile left now. but that will get bigger with todays washing. so i had better brack on with that this evening.

unsure about tea as hubby might be working late. so if he is then i will cook somethng that can be reheated. so maybe jacket spuds.

breakie is usual cereal or toast. but lunch for kids is at my mums as i have an appointment. they love going there as my mum's fruit bowl is on the table so they sit and munch there was through the lot.:rotfl:

  • Good morning everybody and may I join in wishing pinkwinged and Aussuielasssos a happy birthday.

Better night last night -- no spiders!!!

Woke early this morning as I wanted to see DD2 off on her first day at work -- joining the real world.

Just popped back upstairs and 2 lights left on !!!! Perhaps she is distracted too. Or on second thoughts she needs her own LBM!

I popped into Asda last night as I was having a nightmare with the milk I had bought there. The 6 and 4 pints had gone off yesterday morning so I just thought we must have left them out on the side but when I opened the next 6 and 4 ( I drink skimmed OH semi) they had gone off as well and the expiry date was the 5th.So armed with all the milk went back to Asda and to be fair they gave me my money back and double the difference so walked up the clothes ailse with£11.56 and there was a lovely blouse for DD2 for work. She is very surfy so not got anything - smart casual in the working clothes line.

Anyway this morning she was wearing it so I was dead chuffed as you are never very sure of their tastes.

Well, raining here and the washing is still on the line from last night and we have just booked 3 nights in a caravan park in Padstow. Too optimistic obviously. We have just bought an ex AA van and had it fitted as a camper for our retiremnet so we are dying to try it out.

I am going to sit down today and work out what food to take I am hopeles at picnic type food so will have a look at Ginghams threads.

Have a really good day everyone and can anyone tell me how to put smilies on a quick reply post

I AM GOING TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPUTER FOR AT LEAST AN HOUR !!!!!

    Good morning everyone,

PP - WELL DONE, that is an excellent result, hope it has made you feel better too xx

Well, trip to the doctors has told me that thanks to the steroids, i have 'housemaids knee', because ive been wearing sandles too much, i have a bad instep, and its probably stress that is causing my itchy head (makes me sound like im falling apart!!!). Nothing can be done about the knee, will have to change my footwear and i have some special shampoo to try for my itchy scalp - lets hope it works!!!

Have 1 LO and 3 BOs today, so hopefully not as busy as yesterday. trouble is, its raining today so cant chuck them outside to play, so will prob be a more noisy day for me!!!

Well, thats about it, just feel nothing much is happening around me at the moment, mind you, im happy just pottering along.

Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Happy Birthday Pink-Winged!:bdaycake:
Having a "down" day today, I need a hug please. My ex-husband has just turned up to pick up my son and daughter to takes them to Cumbria for his wedding on Saturday. I'm feeling really miserable about it, even tho I know I'm much better off without him. The reason is he's marrying the tart who broke up our marriage. If it had been anybody else, I would have wished him well, but I just can't, it feels like being kicked in the teeth again. Sorry for the rant.....

Anyway, I've got a new "Memory Foam" mattress coming today. Hopefuly, I'll sleep better, and not wake up in so much pain afterwards!:T

Need to do some cleaning or gardening to take my mind off things, so I'm off for a root around!

    Have a good day guys!
